I’m not only a papercraft, but a lover of many other crafts!!  One of my all time favourites is cross stitch so I was excited to see the Cross Stitch Christmas stamp set.

Here the latest cross stitch that I finished earlier this year.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the 3 trees in Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and Real Red.  It does take a little bit of practice to get the stamps lined up nicely.   I cut it out with an Oval Stitched Shape framelits and then a crumb cake oval.

I embossed the Granny Apple Green with the Quilt Top embossing folder.  Don’t you just love this folder!

I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce and punched it out with the Classic Label punch.  I added a piece of Polka Dot ribbon and Real Red Solid Ribbon.

I just love Christmas!!!  I can’t wait to get into making Christmas cards!

Head on over to visit Lou and check out her gorgeous project!

You may have come from Fi Cobbin, or starting here with me.

I am starting to get in the Christmas spirit so I decided to highlight the lovely holly wreath and use my new Real Red Stampin’ Blends.  (New colours are coming in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue!!)

I just love the Stitched Seasons framelits and the double stitching.  I cut out a piece using the Under the Mistletoe DSP and then decide that I would make two cards and use the opposite pieces.  I also used my favourite Subtles embossing folder!

ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds and 3d projects Blog Hop

Welcome to the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds & 3D Projects blog hop!  You may have come from Courtenay Heuston or be starting here with me!

I have created a couple of projects for you tonight.  I wanted to have a play with the Lovely Laurel thinlits so I decided to create a set of napkin holders for my Christmas table.

I created a circle of Silver foil and cut out the wreath from the thinlits in Tranquil Tide.  I then cut out the banner in Gold Glimmer paper.  (Because it’s Christmas and you need sparkle!!)  Now if you could do nice, fancy writing and write a name on it, or you can add a stamp from the Christmas Happiness and cut it out using the Lovely Laurel thinlit.

Of course, if you are having Christmas dinner at your place, you might be wanting to send an invite out.  So I create a matching card.

If you follow me, you’ll notice that I never decorate the inside of my cards!  But, on this card, I did the inside first!

I created the wreath and the banner as per the place holder.  I wanted to add a bigger sentiment into the middle of the card, so I stamped the sentiment from Merry Little Labels using markers.  I then placed it into the middle of the card and gently folded it.  Once I had a fold line on the circle, I then scored it and attached it to the banner.

For the front of my card, I used the Good Tidings stamp set.  I love the rustic look of the holly leaves.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects for tonight’s hop.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Next up is my friend, Peta Stephen.

ESAD Holiday Catalogue Hop

I’m so excited to be a part of the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue blog hop!  And to be sharing a couple of my favourite Holiday projects with you!

So you might be starting the hop with me, or have come from the talented Ellen Woodbridge.  Just make sure you keep following the next button to see all the amazing inspiration from the Holiday Catalogue.

There are lots of fabulous stamp sets and products in this catalogue!!  I decided to create my first project using the Good Tidings stamp set.

I started off with using the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder which I just received this week to add some texture to the background.  I then stamped up a piece using the holly stamps from the set.  I stamped off once using garden green for the solid image and then didn’t for the second image.

I then stamped the sentiment from the set in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out using the circle framelits.  I also did a silver foil circle and a scalloped circle in Cherry Cobbler.  And wait for it, I USED washi tape!!  I used the new Year of Cheer Specialty washi tape (which is so lovely!!) and a piece from the Basics Pack 2 washi tape.  I will get through my washi 2″ at a time!!

For my second card, I wanted to do something other than Christmas.  The Painted Harvest stamp set is beautiful!!  When I first saw it, I wasn’t convinced, but seeing many demonstrator samples over the past month has made me change my mind and fall in love with it.

I love that you can do so many different colour combinations for the flowers, however today, I’ve gone fairly traditional.  I started with the centre of the flower using Early Espresso.  I then used Daffodil Delight for the solid image and then used Pumpkin Pie for the next image and then did my favourite thing, fussy cutting.  NOT!

I stamped the leaves on the cardstock in Old Olive and the sentiment in Early Espresso.

This is a quick and easy card to re-create.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards tonight.  Next up is the amazing Mandy.

Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my projects!  A list of the participants is below in case you get lost on the hop.

Happy Stamping
