CTC133 – Love and Sympathy

It’s so nice having a new catalogue and starting to play with my new goodies.  We are slowly working our way through the new catalogue and it’s lovely to see all the fabulous creations on the CTC Facebook group.  If you would like to check them out, just click here and join up!  And don’t forget to add your creation as well.

This week, we are casing the Love and Sympathy section, pages 86-101 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

I decided to case the grey card on page 101 which used the You’ve Got this stamp set, which I do love. I did want to use a different set and colours, cos I wanted to play with new goodies!!

This catalogue has some amazing new background stamps, and I’ve recently bought Sheet Music as I have a few musical friends and this will be perfect for cards for them.  So straight away, I had to turn the card from landscape to portrait as you can’t have music laying on it’s side!!  I did stamp it in black first but it was too harsh, so I used Sahara Sand instead for a softer look.

I used the Oh So Eclectic Stamp set and the matching Eclectic Layers thinlits.  I’m not sure if the thinlits are meant to cut out the more solid flower but I used it anyway!  I used Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Pear Pizzazz for the flowers and leaves.  I almost forgot to mention that I put Clear Stella on the cut out flower for a  bit more sparkle.

One of the products I often forget to use is Vellum!  But every time I use it, I wonder why I don’t use it more often.  I cut out a banner using the triple Banner punch and then stamped the sentiment from the Just Add Text stamp set.

Oh, oh, can you see the new mini sequins!!  They are soooo cute!!  #diedandgonetoheaven #sparklesaremyhappyplace

Now don’t forgot to come and join the group and share your project casing the Love and Sympathy section.

Next up is the lovely Judy.

New Catty Pennsationals Blog Hop

I’m so excited to doing a Blog Hop tonight with my amazing team, the Pennsationals and to be sharing the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue with you.

There are so many fabulous new products in this catalogue, I had trouble deciding what to share with you.  For my first card, I decided to go with the Just Add Text stamp set and the new Delightful Daisy DSP.

I used my favourite framelits, the Stitched Shape framelits and the matching Layering Oval framelits.  Oh and check out the new Daffodil Delight Double stitched ribbon.

For my second card, I went with Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  This set has an interesting combination of stamps.  I really like the flowers in this set.

Now I have to confess that Lemon Lime Twist is not my favourite In Color, however, I thought I would give it a go as a watercolor background.  I guess it’s ok!  lol!

I used Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo and I was quite surprised at how nice they look together.

Next up on the hop is my lovely upline and friend, Tracy Penn.

If you happen to get lost on the hop, here is a list of all the participants.

CTC131 – Everyday Occasions

Oh how exciting!!  The 2017-2018 Annual catalogue started this week!!  I’m so excited to be to start casing this gorgeous catalogue with you.

This week, we are casing the Everyday Occasions section, pages 18-67.

I decided to case the tags on page 27 and turn them into cards using the Label Me Pretty stamp set and the matching punch, Pretty Label punch.  Which, by the way, is available in a bundle!

I did the two on the left side.  These tags use the stunning Wood Textures DSP Stack.  The wood grains in this paper are amazing!

I kept my first one fairly similar to the original and just changed the stamp.  As the original sample was a tag, I felt that the card needed a bit extra being larger, so I added a couple of banners at the bottom.

For my second card, I used the happy birthday stamp and coloured it with Bermuda Bay, Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Flirty Flamingo markers.   I then punched a Powder Pink label and cut it in half.  I then attached it behind the stamped layer.

Instead of using paper banners, I added a bow instead using the new Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon.

I’m so thrilled with this DSP, it is so lovely!!  If you need it too, you can get it at my online store, here.

Next up is fellow Queenslander, Julia!!

Happy Hopping

Oh Happy Day

It’s the best day of the Stampin’ Up! calendar!!  Well actually it was yesterday but I had to work and didn’t get a chance to blog.

It’s a new catalogue!!  Woo Hoo!!  Have you had a chance to see this gorgeous new catalogue.  It will keep you quiet for hours whilst you check out all the new goodies.  If you want to see it online, click here, or I’m happy to post one out to you.  Just send me an email at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au and I’ll get one off to you.

I have had the catalogue since the start of April when I attended the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event in Sydney.  I’ve had my catalogue bound at Officeworks and had a spiral edge put on it.  I do this every year although it’s always hard to be separated from my catty!  But it’s worth it as it stops it getting tatty.

I was lucky enough to receive the Ribbon of Courage stamp set as a Prize Patrol at Onstage.  I think this is a great set and will be handy for fundraising events.

I didn’t receive the framelits, but you can bet they were one of the first things on my order!

My team did a swap after Onstage and I decided to use this set.  I was inspired by one of the amazing Artisan’s, Kimberly Van Diepen, with her lovely card highlight Autism Awareness.

I used the new Berry Burst In Colour which is quickly becoming one of my new favourites.  I also have to say that the Stitched Shape framelits are my favs as well!!

I just love this set and I’m sure I will be using it a lot.

If you need it too, you can order at my online store, here.  Make sure you use hostess code, T3PYE2CD, to go into the draw to receive a gift from me.

Happy New Catalogue Shopping!

CTC129 – Favourite Annual Catty

We are almost at the end of another amazing catalogue but we still have a few favourites left to share!!

This week, we are sharing some of our favourite projects from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue.

One of my very favourites is Foxy Friends!!  I just think it’s such a cute set and I’m so glad it is carrying on for another year!  I have done a combination of two projects on page 56.

I’ve cased the background on the gift bag in the centre, then cased the card underneath it.  I did turn the reindeer into a cat as I’m a kitty lover!!   As I was testing out which colours would work best for the cat, I accidently created the layout I finished up with!  And then the Pretty Kitty stamp set had the perfect sentiment.  Isn’t it cute!!

I just love using the catalogue for inspiration!  If you are inspired by our projects this week, make sure you head over to our Facebook group and share your project.  We’d love to see what inspires you!

I can’t wait to see what Julia has created this week!

Happy Stamping

Stampin’ Up! Product List

CI08

I hope you enjoyed the last colour challenge.  It was so nice seeing everyone’s entries!!  Congratulations to the winners.

I found the colours for this next challenge to be, well, challenging!!  Definitely not colours I would put together myself but that’s the point of doing a challenge.  To try different combinations!!

In case you can’t read the tiny writing, the colours are Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.

I decided to make my background using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set.  I hesitated to buy this set when it first came out in the Holiday catalogue but I liked all the samples I saw, so when I found it was carrying through, I purchased it along with the matching framelits.  But I haven’t used it until today!!!

Two of my favourite framelits at the moment are the Layering Circles (oh and the squares and ovals) and the Stitched Shape framelits.  They just go so nicely together.  My sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  Please leave a comment and let me know.

Oh and make sure you check out the clearance rack as lots of new products have been added.

Next up on the hop is Monique.  I can’t wait to see what she has created.

CTC119 – Sale-a-bration

ctc_header

I can’t believe that we are halfway through March already!!  Last year seem to go so slow waiting for my trip to New York and now it’s been nearly 5 months since I returned!

It’s finally starting to get a bit cooler here in Queensland.  Bring on Autumn, I say!!

This week we are casing the final section of the Sale-a-bration catalogue, pages 16-19. But don’t worry, Sale-a-bration isn’t finished yet and neither are we!

This section includes the Hey Chick set and I have to admit this is not my favourite set although all the creations I have seen look amazing.  So far, it is actually the most popular SAB stamp set in all the Stampin’ Up! markets.

I decided to case the chicken card on the right on page 15.

I’m having a market stand on the day before Mother’s Day so I’m planning on making a few Mother’s Day cards for all those last minute shoppers.  I went with Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand as my colours and used the Double Take stamp set for the sentiment.  I kept the same Large Polka Dot embossing folder as the original.

I just love the Make a Medallion SAB stamp set and made my circles.  I am slightly addicted to the layering circle framelits at the moment so this set was perfect for me!  To create the banner, I tried the solid love image in Pink Pirouette but it didn’t stand out very well on the Sahara Sand card stock so I used Rose Red and stamped off first then onto the cardstock which turned out much better.  I then stamped the second thin love without stamping off for a darker colour.

It needed a bit of bling, so I added a few rhinestones to the centre of the medallion.

I was then drawn to the Designer Tee samples on page 18 and decided to case the t-shirt card on the right.

I like the sentiments in the Designer Tee stamp set although I don’t have the matching framelits.  I had a flip through my DSP and decided to use the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP stack.  I’ve been practising my watercolour technique and I seem to be getting the knack of it.  Being patient and just waiting for it to dry before adding more colour helps a lot!!

Once again, the layering circle framelits with their complimentary Stitched shapes framelits make an appearance!  I’m pretty happy with how this card turned out!!

Time is running out to earn your favourite sale-a-bration products, so place your qualifying $90 order with me today.  Here’s a link to my online store.  Don’t forget SAB ends on 31 March!

Next up on our hop today is the lovely Kathryn.

Please come and join our Facebook Challenge Group where you can join us and share your projects from the same section of the catalogue.

Happy Stamping!!
