You may have come from Fi Cobbin, or starting here with me.

I am starting to get in the Christmas spirit so I decided to highlight the lovely holly wreath and use my new Real Red Stampin’ Blends.  (New colours are coming in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue!!)

I just love the Stitched Seasons framelits and the double stitching.  I cut out a piece using the Under the Mistletoe DSP and then decide that I would make two cards and use the opposite pieces.  I also used my favourite Subtles embossing folder!

I hope I have inspired you to purchase this gorgeous bundle!

Next up is the lovely Narelle.

CTC191 – Nature’s Poem

It is so windy at my place today!!  Wait, is the Ekka on?  You bet it is!!  It’s always windy when the Ekka is happening in Brisbane.  My kitty cats have a bad case of static from the wind.

We are casing the Nature’s Poem section, pages 142 – 153 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.

As I flipped through this section, I realised that I only have two stamp sets in this entire section!  Now don’t hate me, but I’m actually not a fan of tree stamps!  I don’t own Lovely as a Tree and I don’t intend to buy it (cos if I did, that would be the year it retires, lol!!)

For my card this week, I am casing the leaf card on page 144.

I was inspired by the leaves to use the Blended Seasons stamp set and framelits.  I started with Cajun Craze (yes, one of my least used colours!) and the Nature’s Poem DSP.  I then cut out a couple of leaves using the framelits in Cajun Craze and Mango Melody.  I then sponged the mango ones with Cajun craze to tone down the brightness.

I stamped the leaves from the stamp set and coloured them using the new blends coming in the Holiday catalogue, in Cajun Craze and Mango Melody.  I then cut out all them all out.

I cut a piece of the Copper trim and spread it out (watch out, it shrinks!!) and attached it to the left side of the card.

I then placed the coloured leaves on the trim and then tucked the framelit leaves in between.  The sentiment is from the Blended Seasons stamp set and I’ve cut it out using the Stitched labels framelits.  I also sponged around the edge of this too.    I added a bow in Copper trim and all done!

I’m really happy with how this turned out.  You know when you have an idea and it actually works!!  Most of the time, that doesn’t happen!!

The Blended Seasons bundle is only available in the month of August so make sure you grab it soon!

Next up is the lovely Julia.

We hope you can join in with us this week over on at our Facebook group.

CTC190 – Artistic Impressions

Can you believe we are in August already!!  This year is just flying past for me.  88 Days until I leave for Orlando!!

So this week at CTC, we are casing the Artistic Impressions section, pages 127-141, of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.

As always, there are so many gorgeous projects to choose from! I choose a card from page 135.

It’s actually my sister’s birthday today, so Happy Birthday Sue!  So today’s card is already in the post to her.  I used the Blended Seasons bundle which is only available in the month of August.  The only DSP that I had with a strip was the 2018-2020 In Colour 6″ x 6″ DSP stack so I used the Grapefruit Grove page.  I coloured the flowers using the Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and then cut them out.

I just love the matching Stitched Seasons framelits.  I love the stitching on the shapes!

Hopefully my sister will like her card!

Next up on the hop is the lovely Julia.

Make sure you share your projects with us at our Facebook group.
