ESAD Holiday Catalogue Hop

I’m so excited to be a part of the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue blog hop!  And to be sharing a couple of my favourite Holiday projects with you!

So you might be starting the hop with me, or have come from the talented Ellen Woodbridge.  Just make sure you keep following the next button to see all the amazing inspiration from the Holiday Catalogue.

There are lots of fabulous stamp sets and products in this catalogue!!  I decided to create my first project using the Good Tidings stamp set.

I started off with using the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder which I just received this week to add some texture to the background.  I then stamped up a piece using the holly stamps from the set.  I stamped off once using garden green for the solid image and then didn’t for the second image.

I then stamped the sentiment from the set in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out using the circle framelits.  I also did a silver foil circle and a scalloped circle in Cherry Cobbler.  And wait for it, I USED washi tape!!  I used the new Year of Cheer Specialty washi tape (which is so lovely!!) and a piece from the Basics Pack 2 washi tape.  I will get through my washi 2″ at a time!!

For my second card, I wanted to do something other than Christmas.  The Painted Harvest stamp set is beautiful!!  When I first saw it, I wasn’t convinced, but seeing many demonstrator samples over the past month has made me change my mind and fall in love with it.

I love that you can do so many different colour combinations for the flowers, however today, I’ve gone fairly traditional.  I started with the centre of the flower using Early Espresso.  I then used Daffodil Delight for the solid image and then used Pumpkin Pie for the next image and then did my favourite thing, fussy cutting.  NOT!

I stamped the leaves on the cardstock in Old Olive and the sentiment in Early Espresso.

This is a quick and easy card to re-create.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards tonight.  Next up is the amazing Mandy.

Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my projects!  A list of the participants is below in case you get lost on the hop.

Happy Stamping

1 June 2014 – Presents for my roomies

Firstly, can you believe it is the start of winter today!! Where has the year gone!!

Last week, I attended the Inspire Create Share convention in Melbourne. I had such a fun time!!! One of my favourite parts about convention is catching up with old friends and making new ones. We have a tradition of making gifts for our room mates so I searched for something different to make this year. I found Tanya Bell’s Washi Tape Box tutorial here, which is soooo cute and fairly easy to make.

I’ve been making a few roses lately, so I thought I would whip up a bunch for everyone as well. I’m a bit over pink at the moment, so I made them in Daffodil Delight. Don’t they look cute!!

I also received lots of lovely gifts as well. My roomies’ are so talented!!!

I’ll be sharing more photos of convention later this week.

14 July 2013 – New loves!

This card features quite a number of my new favourites!!!

I was a little slow off the mark to embrace the paper doilies which were featured in the last seasonal catalogue. I liked them, I just kept forgetting to order them!! I finally got them and was so glad to see that they had carried over to the new catalogue.

I found this cute card on Pinterest by Becky Jensen, here.

I got to play with the new Simply Pressed Clay. It certainly doesn’t feel like clay! I made a batch of flowers one night watching the tv. So easy to do!! I just left them white as I wanted to try colouring them with markers. When colouring, make sure you touch them gently as they can mark easily.

One of the most exciting parts of this card is the washi tape!! So easy to use and it looks great. I love this stuff!!

I wanted to make a banner for the sentiment, so I trimmed the Thank you stamp in the Hello, Lovely set.

thanks doily
