This week at Caseing the Catty, we are back sharing our favourites from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
Did you know if you spend $90 on products from either the Annual catalogue or the Occasions catalogue, you can earn any of the products in the Sale-a-bration catalogue for free? Isn’t that fabulous!!
Did you know that you can get a Project Life card collection for free? It’s the Memories in the Marking Project Life Specialty card collection and it’s gorgeous! You get 30 specialty cards that supplement our other Project Life collections. There are 10 4″ x 6″ cards and 20 3″ x 4″ cards. And of these cards, there are 15 overlays and 15 emboss resist cards!!!
Whilst these cards are great for using with Project Life, they are also good for making quick and easy cards.
So for my first card, I used a 4″ x 6″ black and white overlay. Now remember it’s a bigger size than our usual card size, so keep that in mind when cutting your cardstock. Ask me how I know!! lol.
I put a piece of white underneath the overlay and then created my ice creams on a separate piece of cardstock and cut them out. Aren’t the honeycomb embellishments to die for? They are so cute! I stamped the sentiment very carefully on the overlay in Staz-on ink and put it aside to dry for a while so it didn’t get smudged.
For my next card, I used one of the smaller 3″ x 4″ overlays and I added a piece of white cardstock underneath again. I then used another SAB stamp set, What I love, for the sentiment. A little bunch of flowers in the corner and it’s all done!!
For my last card, I used one of the emboss resist 4″ x 6″ pieces. I carefully coloured each section with a sponge dauber.
I used the SAB Perfect Pairings stamp set for the sentiment and did a little paper piercing around the oval for an extra bit of detail. A silver bow and again, another quick card.
Don’t forget that you can join in with us and share your projects. Join in with the linky at the bottom of this post. You might be our winner for this month!
I hope you are inspired by my cards this week. Next stop on the hop is the lovely Jackie.
Happy Stamping

Loving what you have done with the Project Life cards Rebecca – and thanks for the heads up regarding the large cards being bigger than our standard size for cards!
Awesome designs & use of supplies, Rebecca! The cones look great stamped on the overlay & the colour combo on your sponged background is fabulous. 🙂
Love what you’ve done with the Project Life cards – of course thy are great for memory keeping – but you’ve shown us they can be used for so much more! Thanks!
Great idea to use the PL cards, and thanks for the tip on the larger size. I’m sure it’s an easy thing to overlook the size difference.
Yes, I’m inspired. Your project life cards are awesome! I think there my be some CASEING going on soon to use my project life cards up too! I love the simplicity of your cards too.
I love that you have used the project life cards to make some wonderful greeting cards. Love that they are bright and cheery. Wow someone is going to be so lucky to receive 3 honeycomb embellishments on the yummy ice-cream cones.
Great use of the project life cards in these samples. I often think they are only for scrapbooking.
