I hope you have had a great week! We’ve had a bit of rain over the last couple of days, which is perfect for guilt free crafting!!
We are back casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Did you know that we have also had a second release of SAB items? There are three/four new items to earn for free!! There’s a cute Eclectic Expressions stamp set, a stunning pack of specialty DSP – Springtime Foils, and another level 2 freebie, the Blossoming Basket bundle which includes the Blossoming Basket stamp set and the Basket Weave embossing folder.
I am attempting to be organised this year and get my blogging projects ready a week before I need them so that I don’t have to rush to get it all done by Sunday. And I was on track this week but I received a parcel on Friday which included the Blossoming Basket bundle and I had to add an extra project to my blog!
Firstly, I decided to case one of the cards on the cover the 2nd release SAB catalogue that features the gorgeous Springtime Foils Specialty DSP. This DSP has to be one of my favourites! It features gold foil, rose gold foil and silver foil. Bling it on!!!
Isn’t this card just so lovely? I am also a fan of the Celebrate You thinlits (so glad that these are carrying through to the next Annual Catalogue). Sadly I didn’t have the DSP at the time I made the card, so I used the Petal Palette stamp set and embossed the flowers in copper embossing powder, on thick whisper white cardstock and used the Petals and More thinlits to cut them all out. I added a banner of Powder Pink and cut the Amazing thinlit in Pear Pizzazz. I coloured one bunch of flowers using my aqua painter and added a swirl of copper foil.
I added a little banner for the sentiment from the SAB Amazing You stamp set.
So for my second card, I cased the yellow card but I used Sweet Sugarplum instead.
I love the Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folders! The detail is so amazing!! I spritzed a piece of thick whisper white cardstock and ran it through my bigshot and went wow!!
I stamped the basket twice and coloured the base with crumb cake and cut it out. I then coloured the flowers in Sweet Sugarplum and Old Olive. I added a butterfly in Peekaboo Peach. I also added a bit of stella because, well, I love it! Oh and I used a Daffodil Delight marker to colour the centre of the flowers.
I added the ticket tear border punch along the edge. I used the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set for the sentiment.
If you love these items, you can earn them for free by placing a $90 or more order from my online store, here.
Next up on the hop is the lovely Julia!

I hope you have had a great week! I survived the first week back at work and it seems like I was never away!
I am excited to share our first challenge of the 2018 Sale-a-bration Catalogue! We are casing any of the fabulous projects from the SAB catalogue.
I decided to case the box on page 17, but turned it into a card instead.
I kept the same elements with a DSP background, a stamped background and of course, the amazing Celebrate You thinlits.
I used the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and based my colour choices on the paper. I used the co-ordinating Lots of Love stamp set and stamped the flower in Pool Party to create a subtle background.
I then cut out the words in Calypso Coral and Gold glimmer paper. Doesn’t it look pretty!!
Next up is Rachel, I can’t wait to see what she has created.
Make sure you join in with the challenge this week and share your project on our Facebook group.
Now if you love the items in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, you can earn them for free by placing a $90 order in my online store, here. Make sure you quote my January Hostess code – 2KMG39ZU to go into the draw to win a prize from me.

Here we are with another Sunday CASEing the Catty hop for you. I really love doing these and enjoy the challenge each week to really study the catalogue and work out what to case.
This week, we are casing the Urban Underground section, from pages 46-49 of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.
I don’t have any of the sets in this section, although I did buy the hexagon embossing folder, which I love!! I was running a bit short of time to create a card this week (knew I should have done it last week when I had heaps of time!!), so I decided to case the superhero card on page 49.
I really love the block layout of this card. I decided to use the Balloon Adventures stamp set and the gorgeous SAB Carried Away DSP. Did you know that on the back of the DSP packet, it lists all the co-ordinating colours used? That way there is no guessing as to which colours were used. I went with a Night of Navy base and then used Smoky Slate ink for the sentiment. I was going to stamp and cut out a balloon but the DSP is just so nice, I decided to let it speak for itself. This was a really quick card to make so great for when you have to make a last minute card.
Time is running out to earn your favourite sale-a-bration products, so place your qualifying $90 order with me today. Here’s a link to my online store. Don’t forget SAB ends on 31 March!
Next up on our hop today is fellow Queenslander, Julia!

Welcome back to another week at CTC!! The year is already going so quickly already!!
Our new home for our challenges is on the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge Group and it’s going off!! We are getting lots of entries to our challenges, which is so exciting!! I love seeing how everyone interprets the catalogue projects!! If you would like to join us over there, click here.
This week, we are casing the Cupcakes and Carousels section, pages 8 – 13 of the Occasions Catalogue.
I decided to case the birthday candle shaker card from the Birthday Bright Project Kit on page 13. This is a lovely kit which I made up for my Pop for Christmas.
I was inspired by one of the entries in last week’s challenge by Kate Gardiner, who used the very cute SAB Carried Away DSP. (Did you know you can get this paper for free?)
I started with the Night of Navy cardstock for the base and added the scalloped dsp. I then started on the balloon shaker. I cut out 2 balloons, one Whisper White and one Watermelon Wonder. I only wanted the outline of the white one, so I’ve kept the balloon for another project. I added a piece of window sheet on the back and used the foam adhesive strips around the balloon shape. I then punched out lots of stars using my star punch and added some Dazzling diamonds to the mix. I then added another piece of window sheet over the top and then turned it over and shook it all around. I may have got a bit excited about the glitter!!
Make sure you stamp on the white piece before you make the shaker. (As me how I know!!) I stamped the clouds from the Lift Me Up stamp set and the you from Crazy about you
Then attach your layers to the base card. I also cut out the happy from the Hello You thinlits using Peekaboo Peach.
I do love a shaker card!! You might have noticed that!!
Next on the hop is the lovely Kathryn.
Don’t forget to come and join us at CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge!! We’d love you to join in!!

Don’t you just love freebies! I certainly do!! Especially when it comes to stamps and paper!
We are casing the brand new Sale-a-bration catalogue this week. Don’t you just love the Inside the Lines DSP. Too die for!!
I have decided to case the layout of the square card on page ?
I kinda made it rather large, just folded a piece of a4 cardstock in half and trimmed it to make a square. But that’s ok, I wanted to show case the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP. I couldn’t decide which ice-cream to choose, so I went with them all. I added a pool party matt as I wanted to make the squares “pop”. I used the hello stamp from the Vertical Garden stamp set using Watermelon Wonder and shadowed it with Chocolate Chip to match the colours in the DSP.
I layered the banner on a strip of Watermelon Wonder and added a bow using the silver ribbon from the free SAB metallic ribbon combo. Oh, and I used the Banner Triple punch to create the banner.
I even made a matching envelope and STAMPED it!! Lol, I always forget about the envelope. And you know what, I’ve even sent it out already!!
I hope you like my card. Next on the hop is the amazing Mel Pagano.
Don’t forget that we have moved our challenges to our new Facebook Group, CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenges, so make sure you pop over and join in over there!! It’s certainly been great this week seeing everyone join in.

This week at Caseing the Catty, we are back sharing our favourites from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
Did you know if you spend $90 on products from either the Annual catalogue or the Occasions catalogue, you can earn any of the products in the Sale-a-bration catalogue for free? Isn’t that fabulous!!
Did you know that you can get a Project Life card collection for free? It’s the Memories in the Marking Project Life Specialty card collection and it’s gorgeous! You get 30 specialty cards that supplement our other Project Life collections. There are 10 4″ x 6″ cards and 20 3″ x 4″ cards. And of these cards, there are 15 overlays and 15 emboss resist cards!!!
Whilst these cards are great for using with Project Life, they are also good for making quick and easy cards.
So for my first card, I used a 4″ x 6″ black and white overlay. Now remember it’s a bigger size than our usual card size, so keep that in mind when cutting your cardstock. Ask me how I know!! lol.
I put a piece of white underneath the overlay and then created my ice creams on a separate piece of cardstock and cut them out. Aren’t the honeycomb embellishments to die for? They are so cute! I stamped the sentiment very carefully on the overlay in Staz-on ink and put it aside to dry for a while so it didn’t get smudged.
For my next card, I used one of the smaller 3″ x 4″ overlays and I added a piece of white cardstock underneath again. I then used another SAB stamp set, What I love, for the sentiment. A little bunch of flowers in the corner and it’s all done!!
For my last card, I used one of the emboss resist 4″ x 6″ pieces. I carefully coloured each section with a sponge dauber.
I used the SAB Perfect Pairings stamp set for the sentiment and did a little paper piercing around the oval for an extra bit of detail. A silver bow and again, another quick card.
Don’t forget that you can join in with us and share your projects. Join in with the linky at the bottom of this post. You might be our winner for this month!
I hope you are inspired by my cards this week. Next stop on the hop is the lovely Jackie.
