Lovely Lattice

Every year, I love to see what new stamp sets are going to be a part of Sale-a-bration.  This year, we have a great offering!!  One of the sets that I think is going to be very popular, is the Lovely Lattice stamp set.

Lovely Lattice Cling Stamp Set

It includes a large floral stamp, a teeny flower and a border stamp.

Oh and it’s one of the new cling mount sets as well!!  I am really enjoying the new cling mount stamps.  No falling off the blocks which is great!

As a demonstrator, I have access to a demonstrator only Facebook group made up of demos from around the world.  Lots of cards get shared on the group and I was inspired by a card shared by Debbie Prante.

I used the stunning Tufted embossing folder on the background.  I fussy cut the floral image and then coloured with blends.  I used Pool Party, Lovely Lipstick, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo.   I coloured extra flowers and cut them out so that I could add dimension to the card.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Life stamp set and I cut it out with the Needlepoint Elements framelits.

I did also put Wink of Stella over all the flowers but it doesn’t show well in the photos.

If you love this stamp set, you can select it as your free Sale-a-bration item when you spend $90 or more.  Just click on the image below to go to my online store.

CTC210 – Sale-a-bration

CTC-header

Welcome back to 2019 and a new exciting year of Caseing the Catty.  I am excited that we have five new Crew members joining us this year!!   A big welcome to Lauren, Siobhan, Michelle, Shannon and Tina.

And we also have the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration Catalogue!  woo hoo!!!

So to start off the year, we are caseiing the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  You can case anything from the catty from a layout, colour combo or a project.

ctc210-fb

There are so many gorgeous new products and projects in the SAB catty!  It’s hard to decide which one to case!!  I went with the Call Me Clover card on page 15.

ctc210-bec-b

This card is showing off the new Lovely Lattice stamp set which you can earn for free by spending $90 with me.

I decided to change the colour to Gorgeous Grape because I like it!  To create the background, I cut out 2 of the Trellis piece from the Rose Trellis thinlits and glue one row together using the Fine Tip glue pen.  I then attached the whole piece to the card.  I then stamped the flowers from the Lovely Lattice stamp set in Memento black ink and fussy cut it out.

Using the Rose Trellis thinlits, I cut out the sentiment piece in Gray Granite and stamped the sentiment from Climbing Roses stamp set.

ctc210-bec-aI then added a few of the new Gingham Gala adhesive backed sequins.  Aside from the fussy cutting, this was an easy card to make!  Oh and I forgot to mention that the Lovely Lattice Stamp set is one of the new Cling mount stamp sets!!  As someone who lives in a humid area (hello, Queensland!!), I often struggle with my stamps not staying on the clear blocks.  There is no budging the cling mount sets!!  They work beautifully.

Next up is my new friend, Shannon Kissane.  I can’t wait to see what she has created for us!

Oh and Happy New Year everyone!!  It seems like 2018 went past so fast!!  Do I really have to go back to work on Monday?

Butterfly-1

All I’ve done is cut out the butterflies from the DSP and created the banner for the  sentiment using the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  (I actually cased this card from the Stampin’ Success magazine that all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators receive) #demoperks

CTC164 – Occasion Kits

ctc_header

We’ve finally had a couple of cooler days over the weekend, which has been lovely!!

This week we are casing the Occasion Kits section, pages 15-17, of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

ctc164-fb

There are only a few projects to choose from which made it a bit easier to pick one!!

I cased one of the cards from the Perennial Birthday Project Kit.  This is a gorgeous kit and the box is to die for!!  I may have bought it just for the box!!  I am casing the pink card on page 16.

ctc164-bec-e

I used the card bases from the free Tutti-Frutti cards and envelopes that you can earn during Sale-a-bration.  You get 16 cards and envelopes in the pack with 4 cards of each of the 4 colours.  In keeping with the tutti frutti theme, I used the Lots of Labels framelits and cut out the largest frame in the Tutti Frutti DSP stack.

I then cut out a banner in co-ordinating card stock and used my favourite punch, the Triple banner punch.

I used the Bunch of Banner framelits to cut out another banner and stamped it with the birthday sentiment from the Fruit Basket stamp set.

These cards were so easy to put together!  Don’t you love the Tutti Frutti DSP!

CTC68 – Sale-a-bration

ctc_header

This week at Caseing the Catty, we are back sharing our favourites from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

sab catty

Did you know if you spend $90 on products from either the Annual catalogue or the Occasions catalogue, you can earn any of the products in the Sale-a-bration catalogue for free?  Isn’t that fabulous!!

Did you know that you can get a Project Life card collection for free?  It’s the Memories in the Marking Project Life Specialty card collection and it’s gorgeous!  You get 30 specialty cards that supplement our other Project Life collections.  There are 10 4″ x 6″ cards and 20 3″ x 4″ cards.  And of these cards, there are 15 overlays and 15 emboss resist cards!!!

ctc68---bec-d

Whilst these cards are great for using with Project Life, they are also good for making quick and easy cards.

So for my first card, I used a 4″ x 6″ black and white overlay.  Now remember it’s a bigger size than our usual card size, so keep that in mind when cutting your cardstock.  Ask me how I know!!  lol.

I put a piece of white underneath the overlay and then created my ice creams on a separate piece of cardstock and cut them out.  Aren’t the honeycomb embellishments to die for?  They are so cute!  I stamped the sentiment very carefully on the overlay in Staz-on ink and put it aside to dry for a while so it didn’t get smudged.

ctc68---Bec-a

For my next card, I used one of the smaller 3″ x 4″ overlays and I added a piece of white cardstock underneath again.  I then used another SAB stamp set, What I love, for the sentiment.  A little bunch of flowers in the corner and it’s all done!!

ctc-68---bec-b

ctc68---bec-ba

For my last card, I used one of the emboss resist 4″ x 6″ pieces.  I carefully coloured each section with a sponge dauber.

I used the SAB Perfect Pairings stamp set for the sentiment and did a little paper piercing around the oval for an extra bit of detail.  A silver bow and again, another quick card.

ctc68---bec-c

Don’t forget that you can join in with us and share your projects.  Join in with the linky at the bottom of this post. You might be our winner for this month!

I hope you are inspired by my cards this week.  Next stop on the hop is the lovely Jackie.

A new challenge at The Colour Tree

My lovely friend Brownyn Eastley is starting a new challenge on her blog, addINKtive Designs, and I thought I might give it a try!!

tctc#1

I thought this was going to be easy but it took a little while to come up with a card. I decided to go nice and simple and create a baby card using the cute little bird from the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set (which you can get for free during Sale-a-bration). I stamped the bird on a scrap piece of thick whisper white cardstock, which works nicely with a little bit of watercolouring, and cut him out. I then used the new honeycomb embellishments and spritz a white one with So Saffron. I may have looked like I had a jaundice hand for the rest of the day!!

I just love the seam binding ribbons and I had picked up the Early Espresso one in the Year End sale in December so I thought it would make a great base for my little bird to sit on.

For my sentiment, I used a label from the Project Life Cards & Labels framelits and tucked in under the bird. I also punched a tiny heart from the Confetti Stars border punch.

colour-tree-1

Here’s a close up.

colour-tree-1a

Now to wait for a little baby to arrive so I can send them this card!!

Don’t forget with every purchase of $90, you can earn products for free, like the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set I used on this card!!
