I hope you have had a great week! I survived the first week back at work and it seems like I was never away!
I am excited to share our first challenge of the 2018 Sale-a-bration Catalogue! We are casing any of the fabulous projects from the SAB catalogue.
I decided to case the box on page 17, but turned it into a card instead.
I kept the same elements with a DSP background, a stamped background and of course, the amazing Celebrate You thinlits.
I used the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and based my colour choices on the paper. I used the co-ordinating Lots of Love stamp set and stamped the flower in Pool Party to create a subtle background.
I then cut out the words in Calypso Coral and Gold glimmer paper. Doesn’t it look pretty!!
Next up is Rachel, I can’t wait to see what she has created.
Make sure you join in with the challenge this week and share your project on our Facebook group.
Now if you love the items in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, you can earn them for free by placing a $90 order in my online store, here. Make sure you quote my January Hostess code – 2KMG39ZU to go into the draw to win a prize from me.

Here we are with another Sunday CASEing the Catty hop for you. I really love doing these and enjoy the challenge each week to really study the catalogue and work out what to case.
This week, we are casing the Urban Underground section, from pages 46-49 of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.
I don’t have any of the sets in this section, although I did buy the hexagon embossing folder, which I love!! I was running a bit short of time to create a card this week (knew I should have done it last week when I had heaps of time!!), so I decided to case the superhero card on page 49.
I really love the block layout of this card. I decided to use the Balloon Adventures stamp set and the gorgeous SAB Carried Away DSP. Did you know that on the back of the DSP packet, it lists all the co-ordinating colours used? That way there is no guessing as to which colours were used. I went with a Night of Navy base and then used Smoky Slate ink for the sentiment. I was going to stamp and cut out a balloon but the DSP is just so nice, I decided to let it speak for itself. This was a really quick card to make so great for when you have to make a last minute card.
Time is running out to earn your favourite sale-a-bration products, so place your qualifying $90 order with me today. Here’s a link to my online store. Don’t forget SAB ends on 31 March!
Next up on our hop today is fellow Queenslander, Julia!

It was a big week with most kids heading back to school and everyone getting back into “normal” routines. Even though it was a short week as everyone had the day off to celebrate my birthday!! (or maybe, Australia Day!!) I had a lovely day celebrating with friends, having a picnic at Wynnum Wading Pools.
This week we are caseing the Sale-a-bration catalogue, and specifically pages 4 to 7.
I couldn’t decide what to do!! I eventually decided to case the balloon card at the top of page 7.
I just love this dsp!! Isn’t it nice! And you can get it for free when you spend $90. But I didn’t use this paper as I’ve just bought the Oh So Succulent stamp set and matching Succulent framelits and I HAD to use it. (You know what I mean!!)
I used the Succulent Garden DSP as the base layer then stamped and cut the flowers. It’s my 16th wedding anniversary this week, so I used the love sentiment from the stamp set. I’m sure my husband will appreciate the flowers and glitter on the card!! lol!
Next on the hop is the lovely Kelly Kent.

Hope you have a great week,

Actually we have two new catalogues today!! How exciting!! I just love this time of year as we all get to earn lots of free goodies from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. And who doesn’t love freebies!!
What is Sale-a-bration? Well for every $90 AUD you spend, you get to choose an item for free from the range in the Sale-a-bration (SAB) catalogue, from today 4th January to 31st March. There are so many lovely stamp sets and other accessories for you to choose from! One of my favourites is the Inside the Lines DSP. It is a black and white print that you can colour in!! You can use markers or the new watercolour pencils which are so easy to use!!
Check out this video from Stampin’ Up! which shows all the papers and a few samples.
Isn’t it gorgeous!! If you love this, and would like to earn your own freebie, you can place an order, or host a workshop. There are lots of great benefits for hosting. Here are the extra freebies that you can earn.
I’d love to host a workshop with you, so let me know when you would like to schedule one!!
But wait, there’s more! Sale-a-bration is also a great time to join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. You get to pick an addition 2 stamp sets as part of your starter kit. We are starting to near the end of Sale-a-bration 😦 and the end of the opportunity to earn products for free!!! This week at Caseing the Catty, we are showcasing more of our favourite products!!
I’m sharing a project featuring the What I love stamp set. You can do three step stamping with this set which looks so pretty.
I’ve also decided to try a sketch challenge with Mojo Monday, so here is the sketch.
I haven’t used any embossing folders for ages (I don’t know why, cos I love using them), so I decided to use the Elegant dots folder for my background on Pear Piazzaz. I stamped my flowers on a large scrap piece of card stock and I stamped the outline image in Rose Red, then the full flower with a stamped off Rose Red. I didn’t use the third stamp as I felt it didn’t need it. I then cut out the flowers with a circle framelit. Oh and I also put some Wink of Stella on the flowers!!
I used the Chalk talk framelits and cut out the tag shape. I then carefully stamped the Thank You in Pear Piazzaz and Rose Red. Of course, you can’t go past Very Vanilla satin ribbon. It’s so shiny!!
For my accent flowers, I used the Itty Bitty Accent punch pack and curved them a little bit for some dimension. And of course, you need a rhinestone in the centre!!
So if you would like to earn this stamp set for free, all you have to do is spend $90 or more in my online store. Your only problem will be trying to decided what to get!!
Now if you would love an extra special freebie, why not buy the starter kit? It’s only $169 and you can choose anything you like up to the value of $295. Yes, you read that correctly!! $295 worth of product for only $169!! And received 20% off your purchases during your time as a demonstrator. You can join today, right here, or contact me if you have any questions. But this only lasts until 31 March so don’t delay, do it today!!
Don’t forget to join in with our monthly challenge and share your projects showcasing your casing of the catalogues.
Next on the hop is the lovely Simone Bartrum.
Stampin’ Up! Product List
This week at Caseing the Catty, we are back sharing our favourites from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
Did you know if you spend $90 on products from either the Annual catalogue or the Occasions catalogue, you can earn any of the products in the Sale-a-bration catalogue for free? Isn’t that fabulous!!
Did you know that you can get a Project Life card collection for free? It’s the Memories in the Marking Project Life Specialty card collection and it’s gorgeous! You get 30 specialty cards that supplement our other Project Life collections. There are 10 4″ x 6″ cards and 20 3″ x 4″ cards. And of these cards, there are 15 overlays and 15 emboss resist cards!!!
Whilst these cards are great for using with Project Life, they are also good for making quick and easy cards.
So for my first card, I used a 4″ x 6″ black and white overlay. Now remember it’s a bigger size than our usual card size, so keep that in mind when cutting your cardstock. Ask me how I know!! lol.
I put a piece of white underneath the overlay and then created my ice creams on a separate piece of cardstock and cut them out. Aren’t the honeycomb embellishments to die for? They are so cute! I stamped the sentiment very carefully on the overlay in Staz-on ink and put it aside to dry for a while so it didn’t get smudged.
For my next card, I used one of the smaller 3″ x 4″ overlays and I added a piece of white cardstock underneath again. I then used another SAB stamp set, What I love, for the sentiment. A little bunch of flowers in the corner and it’s all done!!
For my last card, I used one of the emboss resist 4″ x 6″ pieces. I carefully coloured each section with a sponge dauber.
I used the SAB Perfect Pairings stamp set for the sentiment and did a little paper piercing around the oval for an extra bit of detail. A silver bow and again, another quick card.
Don’t forget that you can join in with us and share your projects. Join in with the linky at the bottom of this post. You might be our winner for this month!
I hope you are inspired by my cards this week. Next stop on the hop is the lovely Jackie.
