Have you seen all the lovely kits at the start of the 2015 Holiday Catalogue? It’s hard to choose which one is the best!! I have got the Tag kit but I’m keeping it to use at an upcoming class, so I was a little stumped as to what to make this week for the CASEing the Catty Challenge.
I decided to do a version of the Shaker Cards featured on page 4.
This kit has includes die cut card fronts, envelopes, printed foil card bases, window sheets, gold foil starts, word stickers (in 3 languages), Christmas tree and circle stickers, baker’s twine, star sequins, red, green and gold sequins, dimensional adhesive strips, chunky clear glitter and dimensionals. Wow, that’s a lot!! You can also get the matching stamp set – To You & Yours too, and the coordinating ink pads, Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry and Memento Black.
I decided to use a note card and the only colour I could find in the cupboard was Crumb Cake. I then went with a piece of Typeset DSP to go underneath the cut out. I used the Perfect Pines and the Delicate Ornaments framelits to cut the inserts and then put a piece of window sheet over the hole. I then added dimensionals all around the inside of the cut out and added lots of confetti!! I cut out some garden green hearts using the Confetti Heart punch (as I don’t have the Confetti Star punch) and added lots of sequins from the Metalics sequin assortment.
I then carefully attached it to the base piece and added the word from the Wonderful Wreath framelits. I cut it out using the new precision plate, which worked like a dream, and the new Red foil sheets. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out!!
I’d love if you could leave me a comment below.

Wonderful idea for making shaker cards.
I really like the colour scheme on your shaker cards, Rebecca, you’ve done a fantastic job! Think that precision plate is going on my next order too.
Gorgeous shakers, Rebecca. Love your mix of crumbcake card, typeset DSP & the red foil sentiments – looks fabulous! 🙂
They are really great cards, very creative.
