I was so excited when one of my stamping besties, Jessica of The Paper Caper, told me that she had been invited to be a part of a new challenge blog, The Global Design Project. She certainly deserves to be a part of such a talented and inspiring team.
I like to support my friends’ in their endeavours, whether it’s shopping at their stores or participating in challenge blogs, so I had to give this one a go!! For their first project, they have gone with a colour challenge.
It’s very pretty, isn’t it!! I felt this said baby girl to me, so I had a look through my stamps and decided to use the cute little duck from Something for Baby. I may have also been persuaded to use this set as it has a matching set of framelits (Baby’s First) and I knew I wouldn’t have to cut it out!!
To make the dotty background, I used the Color Me Irresistible specialty DSP and sponged it with a stamping sponge as opposed to using a dauber. I wanted to make sure that it was softly coloured and not too splotchy which can sometimes happen with a dauber (at least it does to me).
I then made 2 banners and cut the ends with the Triple banner punch which I just love!! No more dodgy banners for me!!
So, what do you think?
I had fun playing along with this challenge and I can’t wait to see what’s on for next week!!
I’d love if you would leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!
Happy Stamping
