CTC41 – Is it really time to start thinking about Christmas??

I’m in denial. Surely it’s not time to start thinking about Christmas. Haven’t we just done that!! The year is flying past so quickly!!

This week at CTC, we are case-ing the Christmas section of the catalogue. Whilst I’m not really ready to start thinking Christmas yet, I do like the cards in this section and I especially love the Merry Moments DSP. So much so, that I couldn’t decide which sheet to use for my card, so I made 8 cards!!!

I was inspired by the card on the front page of the section, in the top right corner.

So I picked my 4 favourite patterns and, using the colours listed on the back of the packet, got my bases ready. I decided to make 2 of each one so that I could get a head start on my Christmas cards for this year.

To create the lines on the centre piece, I used the Chalk Lines stamp set. I also used the Festival of Trees stamp set for the trees and my sentiment came from Merry Everything stamp set. Except for the first card, I inked the sentiment using a marker as I didn’t want the dots across the top and bottom. I love using this technique!! I also alternated between using the foil sheets and the glimmer paper for a bit of bling. You always need bling at Christmas time!!

These cards were fairly quick to put together and would make a great card to mass produce.
