CTC14 – Can you believe that it’s the last one?

Can you believe that we are up to the last CTC challenge for the year!!! I can’t!! I’m still in denial that we are actually in November and it’s not long until Christmas!!!!

I’ve been quite busy over the last couple of weeks, preparing for an upcoming market and doing different hours at work, so I haven’t been able to post as much. Once the market is done, I should be back on top of things again.

So for our last challenge of the year, we are doing a Colour Challenge based on the Santa & Co. Designer Washi Tape on page 29 of the AU/NZ catalogue.

It’s an interesting combination of Basic Black, Marina Mist, Old Olive and Real Red. I have to admit that they aren’t really colours that I would normally use together but I’m willing to give it a go.

So here is the inspiration from the catty.

I decided to use the Seasonally Scattered stamp set, which I have admired for some time. I embossed the Merry sentiment with white embossing powder on Real Red cardstock this time but I think it would look nice in Dazzling Diamonds as well. (I didn’t want to wear glitter to work so that’s one for next time!!)

I then used the other 3 colours as the base and 2 mats. And of course, there needs to be some bling, so I did a bow with the silver ribbon and added a few snowflakes and sequins from the Frosted Sequins pack for a bit extra.

I hope you like it!!

So make sure you join in with the Challenge at http://www.caseingthecatty.blogspot.com.au

You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations. It doesn’t even have to be about scrapbooking, journaling or Project Life. For example, you can use a sketch idea for a card or 3D item.

Guidelines

* Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)
* Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.
* Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country’s catalogue where you got your inspiration.
* SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.

Hope you can join in!!
