It’s always fun playing with colour at Colour Inkspiration!  This week, we are playing with the new Brights collection.

Aren’t they all lovely colours!  Now, don’t be like me and grab a colour that used to be in the brights to create your card!  At least I’m ahead for the Regals challenge in September!!

So our challenge this week is to create a card using 3 of these gorgeous colours.  You can add any of the basics as well. Oh and bling, if you want it.

I have been loving all the samples I’ve seen of the Postcard Pals set. I don’t normally go for such a detailed stamp but I just love those cute animals!

Now I did introduce a couple of neutrals to colour in the squirrel (whose name is George, btw) but I think you’ll forgive me. The base of the card is Coastal Cabana.  The next layer is Daffodil Delight which I’ve embossed using the Subtle embossing folder. I just love the gentle distressed look of this folder.

George is coloured with lots of Stampin blends.  For his body, I’ve used Crumb Cake, with Ivory for his cheeks.  His shirt is Bermuda Bay and the letter box is Soft Suede with a touch of Poppy Parade for the flower. Then a little bit of Granny Apple Green for the grass.

I created a frame in Bermuda Bay using my favourite Stitched Shape framelits and the layering square framelits.  The sentiment is from the Postcard Pals set as well.

Isn’t George cute!!
