CTC65 – Valentine’s Day

ctc_header

Can you believe that we are almost at Valentine’s Day!! It will be Christmas before we know!!

So this week at Casing the Catty, we are sharing Valentine Day projects. I decided to share a project from the Annual Catalogue. Yes, it’s still current!! My project is from page 28 of the Annual Catalogue, and I have turned the gift bag into a card.

I just love the Timeless Elegance DSP. It’s another one of those that I find hard to cut into! But I have managed it a few times now. I also love the matching Timeless Love stamp. It’s so lovely and delicate and just perfect for colouring. I lightly coloured the flowers in Blushing Bride and a hint of Pear Pizzazz on the petals. I then used Gold Wink of Stella on the centres of the flowers for just a little bit of sparkle.

I stamped my sentiment on a piece of vellum using the Basic Black Archival ink. Before you attach it to the card, make sure you let it dry on the vellum. If you don’t, it will smudge. Ask me how I know!! (Stamped it four times before it was dry enough to not smudge!!).

To get the black twine, I split a piece of the baker’s twine combo pack from the Occasions catalogue.  Great use of a left over piece!!

So don’t forget that you can join in with our challenge each week.  We are doing a monthly challenge so if you feel inspired to create and join in, please do.  We will choose a winner at the end of the month and post the results on the first post of the new month.

  1. Rebecca you are an inspiration, I must get out this pack of designer series paper, as I think it’s always to beautiful to cut up, but if I don’t use it no one will get the pleasure of experiencing it too. Love your idea of stamping on the circle of vellum. Happy Valentine’s Day.

  2. Such a lovely soft & elegant card Bec. Love the addition of the gold wink of stella on the centres of the flowers – just enough to give your Valentine’s card a special feel.

  3. What a beautiful card Rebecca, such lovely colouring and a superb CASE of the Annual Catalogue. Totally loveable for Valentine’s Day, and that is a beautiful sentiment.
