We are back with another Sunday Caseing the Catty blog hop! Sunday’s are coming around so quickly, aren’t they! Especially when you have to go to work or school the next day. But I hope we can cheer up your Sunday evening with lots of cards to inspire you!
This week, we are back to casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue. So many glorious freebies to be had!! Did you know that some of the free stamps and paper are only available until 15 February? No? Well you need to get your order in so you can get them before they are no longer available!!
I just love the Hello stamp set. It covers more than just birthdays, although that is what I have focussed on this week. I was inspired by the card on page 18 of the catalogue.
I loved the gold Hello on the original but I was too lazy to do embossing!! (It’s been pretty hot and humid this week, which doesn’t make for easy crafting!!) So I thought I would try White staz on ink on my watercoloured Bermuda Bay background. But it didn’t come out as white as I would have like, but I was committed so I continued with it. I then stamped the birthday sentiment in Rose Red and added a piece of the It’s my Party washi tape as well. (It’s one of my goals to USE washi tape this year, rather than just collect it!!). I then added a piece of the Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon (which is sooo much nicer than the picture in the catalogue!!)
I decided to try a clean and simple version of this card and I love it!! The colours look so nice and crisp!
So don’t forget that you can receive this lovely stamp set for free when you spend over $90 in my online store. Just click on the products below to go directly to my store.
And don’t forget that you can also join in with our hop by adding your link here and we will be choosing a winner next week!!
Next on the hop is the lovely Judy May
And in case you want to go back to Kathryn,
Happy stamping my lovely friends!!

A couple of great CASES – a popular layout this round! Love how you have created two very different cards by reversing the colours.
I must use this saleabration stamp set, you have inspired me to get it out today, love the effect with the wash technique.
What an awesome colour combo! I rarely use Rose Red but it looks spectacular with Bermuda Bay on your cards. Love the CAS version! 🙂
Cute cards Bec! So bright and cheery! I love what you chose for the accessories. I must admit I had trouble with that part on my cards this week.
I love your CAS version, Rebecca, Love the simplicity and bright pops of colour (2 of my favourites!).
Yes, I love your clean crisp card too – but I think what makes it look spectacular is the colours you’ve chosen!! I struggle with these colours, but your cards look glorious!!
Lovely cards, Rebecca. I love the clean one best. My resolution was to use washi tape too, glad to see you’re doing the same.
great cards Rebecca, love the bright colours, and Happy Birthday to you!
Thanks Liz!!!
Hello, Birthday girl is perfect for your card this week! I hope you had a lovely birthday 🙂 I agree your clean & simple card just pops with colour.
