One of my favourite things in the current catalogue is Project Life!! I’m so glad that Stampin’ Up! have partnered with Project Life to bring exclusive designs in our fabulous colour collections for us to use. I love how the cards and accessories match our ink pads, ribbons and papers, so that we can add to and embellish our pages as much as we like!!
This week at CTC, we are case-ing the Project Life section of the catalogue. You may have come from the gorgeous Emma, or be starting your hop here. Either way, enjoy all the fabulous projects that we have to share using the Project Life kits.
I decided that I would attempt to make cards using the pages from the catalogue as inspiration. I love the Moments Like These card collection and Accessory Pack. There’s GOLD in it!!! For my first card, I decided to case the layout on Page 51.
I used one of the specialty gold cards from the Accessory pack as my feature and added a gold mat around it to make it “pop” a bit more. Isn’t the little banner cute. They come from one of the sticker sheets in the Accessory Pack. I used the Moment Like These stamp set and added the sentiment from And Many More which I just got today (BTW, this is a great set!! Loads of sentiments!!) I cut the heart from the Circle Card thinlits as I had already used the sticker from the pack.
For my second card, I decided to case the layout of the Summer card on page 50.
I used the long stamp from the Work of Art stamp set and stamp the darkest colour first from my new favourite colour, Watermelon Wonder. Then I stamped off once, twice and even three times, to get the lighter colours. Doesn’t it look great!!
Keeping in with the gold theme, I cut out a Hello from the Hello You thinlits and attached it using my two way glue pen. Easy Peasy!!

I love, love, love the use of the long stamp out of the Work Of Art stamp set combined with the PL accessories on your card. It gives a subtle watercolour effect allowing the rest of the card to just ‘pop’. A great technique I may just have to CASE!
