I think it’s the coldest day of Winter that we’ve had so far!! And it’s windy so that doesn’t help either. But today’s card certainly has a touch of spring in it.
One of the talented ladies in my team, Rose (check out her blog here) shared a cute card that she had entered into the latest TGIF challenge and it inspired me to give it a go as well.
So here is the sketch challenge.
I was getting ready for next week’s stamp club and I had out the Circle of Spring stamp set when I saw the challenge picture and I thought I could use the wreath as the focus of the card.
I’ve also been wanting to use the new Brick Wall embossing folder and thought it might make a nice background. I used my blender pens to colour in the flowers using Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron ink. I think I am slightly addicted to these colours!
Here is a close up of the wreath.
To add the sentiment I stamped only a portion of the stamp from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set as the whole saying didn’t fit into the space that I had. I then cut it out using the Bitty Banner framelits and cut off the points and attached it to the label framelit from the Project Life Cards and Labels framelits.
I’m sending this card off to one of the girls in my team who isn’t feeling well at the moment. I hope it cheers her up a little. Get well soon, my friend!!
Happy Stamping
