Well, I’ve finally done the swap over and put away my Holiday Catalogue products away and have put my new Occasions Catalogue goodies out so that I can play with them!!!

There are so many gorgeous new things to play with, that it’s hard to know where to start!!

I decided to play with the Global Design Project today. This week, the challenge is to case the designer, who is the talented Bibi Cameron from the UK.

I used the circle and the sentiment as the inspiration for my card. I just love the word thinlits and I don’t use them enough. I cut out the thanks from the Greetings thinlits in Silver glimmer paper.

One of my favourite stamp sets is Circle of Spring. I just love colouring the flowers with my blender pens. Makes me feel very arty! I stamped with basic black, then coloured in with Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder. I created my own background by using my aqua painter and putting a few drops of Mint Macaron ink in the lid of the ink pad and drew my lines across the thick Whisper White cardstock. I am just so arty today!! lol

I think I’m getting better with my Silver cord swirls now that I try to follow the curls of the cord. You’d think seeing as I have curly hair, that I would know to go with the curl not against it!!

I just love the new thick Watermelon Wonder Stitched Satin Ribbon. It’s so nice and thick and shiny. I cut a piece to make a banner across the card and then felt it need something more in the middle. I cut a long piece of ribbon and got out a needle and thread (shock, horror, I know!!) and gathered the bottom of the ribbon. A couple of knots and doesn’t it look great!!

I then put a bit of glue using the fine tip glue pen on the back of the thanks and placed it on the ribbon. To make it stick, I put a large block on top of it and left it for a few minutes until the glue had dried enough. It seems to be hanging on so far!!
