CI60

Welcome to another fun week of Colour Inkspiration.

This challenge showcases a couple of the new In-colours, Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock and also Petal Pink and Blueberry Bushel.

As I was working out my project, I realised that one of the papers in the Noble Specialty DSP was in Blueberry Bushel. I haven’t used these papers yet so I was excited to get it out! I used it as my background and as my centre piece covered a large portion of it, I used a smaller rectangle die and cut out the middle so that I didn’t waste it.

I cut out a stitched rectangle in Petal Pink and I used the You are Simply Wonderful stamp from the Bloom and Grow stamp set. I used the stamparatus to stamp the image, moving the plate down one step at a time. I haven’t done this technique before but it’s so easy! I think my stamp club ladies will be learning something new this month.

I then stamped one of the floral images from the Bloom & Grow set, cut it out using the Budding Blooms die and coloured it using blender pens and the Terracotta Tile, Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock ink pads. I also covered the flowers with Wink of Stella. I added a strip of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and also a bow.

I’m really happy with how this card turned out! I hope you like it too.

Next up is the lovely Nikki

This challenge will be running for three weeks, so make sure you share your creation with us at our Facebook group, here.

Happy Stamping

  1. Very, very pretty! That specialty DSP is really regal and makes a rich base for your lovely sentiment and flowers.
