ESAD 2017-2018 Favourites Blog Hop

I’m so excited to be a part of the ESAD blog hop and sharing my favourites from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue with you.

I am loving all things flowers in the new catty and two of my favourite sets are the  Floral Statements stamp set and the Climbing Orchid stamp set.

For my first card, I silver embossed the Thanks stamp of the Floral Statements stamp set.  I have to tell you, this looks so pretty all on it’s own!  I then coloured it with the watercolour pencils.  I used Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and Old Olive for the greenery.  A little bit of blending with a blender pen, and voila!! it’s all done!  I then layered it up with Silver foil, Rich Razzleberry and an Old Olive base.  I just love the Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon, don’t you?

I just received my order of the new embossing paste and had to play with it straight away!  I used a small bit of paste and mixed it with Cherry cobbler and Cajun Craze re-inkers to make a brick wall using the decorative masks.  This stuff is so fun!!  And very addictive!!!

To create my orchids to climb up the wall, my clever friend, Bronwyn Eastley has created a number of orchid images to inspire us.  Click here to see her images.  I decided to use this one for my next card.

To create the stems, I used the stem from the Seasonal Layers thinlits, cut out two and stuck them together with my fine tip glue pen.  Whilst that was drying, I created the flowers using Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.  I also added some Stella to the DD flowers for a bit of bling.

I then created the sentiment using the Birthday Banners stamp set and the Bunch of Banners framelits.

I’m pretty happy with these two cards!!  Please leave me a comment and let me know if you do too!

Next up is the talented Sharon Dalton.

  1. Two beautiful cards, although if I had to pic the orchids would be my favourite, the colours are so fun and I love orchids!

  2. Rebecca, WOW just stunning both of your cards… I totally forget to use embossing powder to create interest and your colouring is just beautiful ❤ Those Orchids keep popping up, something that didn't appeal to me BUT slowly I am being convinced ❤ Thanks for sharing ❤
Have a wonderful day, hope you got to do some crafting Cheers Shaz

  3. Love these two cards so much. The brick wall looks so real, and love the idea of an orchid inspiration colour palette! Your silver embossed Floral Statements card is just amazing!

  4. They are both so gorgeous. I love just how varied orchids are in nature, you’ve done an amazing job matching yours.

  5. Gorgeous projects Rebecca I love both of them and am looking forward to my order arriving tomorrow and playing with yet another rose ! A girl can’t have too many right !
