CTC188 – Holidays

I’m excited that this week at CTC we are celebrating Christmas in July!!  Well kind of!!  We are casing the Holidays section, pages 92-103, of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.

In preparation of my trip to Orlando (102 days and counting!!) I’ve been watching YouTube videos about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party (and yes I have my ticket booked already!) so I’m feeling a bit Christmassy already.

I decided to case the frame on page 102 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.

I wanted to make a card instead of a frame, so I started with an Early Espresso base and did a background with the Under the Mistletoe DSP (which is included in the current Buy 3 get 1 free DSP sale).

I then stamped the tree from Ready for Christmas stamp set on Shaded Spruce cardstock, with Shaded Spruce ink.  I then cut them out with the Christmas Staircase thinlits.  I used my paper trimmer to score down the middle of each tree.  I then laid three over each other and stapled down the middle.  I then put a thin layer of glue down the centre and held the final tree until the glue was dry enough.  I coloured a few rhinestone with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and decorated my tree with them.

My very favourite Christmas colour combo is Green and Red and I think Shaded Spruce and Real Red are a perfect combo!  I embossed the sentiment in Gold and scored each side of the banner then used the Banner triple punch for the ends.

I used the Tailored Tag punch to cut the base of the tree. And a left over gold star from an old kit for the top of the tree.  (There has to be bling on the tree!!)

I hope you are starting to feel Christmassy!

Next up is the lovely Peta. I wonder what Marvi is up to today!
