CI11

Isn’t the year just flying past?  Can you believe we are in June already and have a new catalogue to play with?  There are so many lovely new stamps and goodies in this catalogue.

We have a great challenge this week at Colour Inkspiration, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist.  Can I just mention that I’m really excited to be following Tanya this week!  I’ve admired her work for many years and love the fabulous tutorials that she creates.

As always, my first thought is “what can I do with this?”  Seeing as I had my new toys to play with, I went with the Climbing Orchid stamp set and the matching Orchid Builder Framelits.  Oh, these are so fun to play with.  Once I worked out how to create an orchid (harder than you think!!), I was on my way!!

I cut out two branches from the Seasonal Layers thinlits and trimmed one to make a larger branch.  I did attempt to spritz the base layer of Soft Suede but I didn’t want to overdo it and as you can see, it’s very lightly distressed!!  Ah well, some things work and some don’t!!

As you can tell, I started a new Stella and it came out very sparkly.  You can never have too much sparkle!!

I also used one of the sentiments from the Colorful Seasons which I felt was appropriate.  I love this stamp set as it is so versatile.

Next up is the fabulous Nikki Spencer.

We would love you to join in with this challenge and add your entry to our Facebook group, which you can join here.

Happy Stamping

  1. How stunning is the orchid in blue! I love this clean creation Rebecca, your minimal background allows them to really pop…Love it! xx

  2. I wanted my husband to buy me a blue orchid. The cashier heard my request and said, they just paint the blue color on. I was deflated. Now, I can make my own blue orchids! I’ll make a whole vase fulled with them. Everytime I look at the vase, I’ll have you to thank! So, THANK YOU!

  3. well you’ve done a great job figuring out the orchids- these are absolutely beautiful. Very striking card Bec
