CTC115 – Sale-a-bration

ctc_header

I hope you are surviving the heat this weekend!  It’s so hot here, around 40 degrees Celsius!  We are camped out in the kitchen/lounge area with the air conditioning on.

We are back to casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue with week, pages 8-12.  This has a couple of my favourite freebies so it was hard to decide which one to do!!  I love the Delicate Details stamp set but apparently so do a few others in the Crew so I went with my other favourite, the Inside the Lines DSP.

For my first card, I cased the card in the top left corner with the flowers.  I did it very similar although I coloured the flowers in Peeakaboo Peach and used Old Olive patterned DSP.  I think the longest part to this card was cutting out the flowers!  Fussy cutting is not my favourite thing!  Oh, and I used markers to colour the flowers.

For my second card, I wanted to showcase the floral pattern piece of the DSP.  I used a few elements from a couple of the cards on this page.  I put vellum underneath the Thanks so that it stood out more.  And here’s a sneak peak of an upcoming SAB freebie, the Bermuda Bay glimmer paper!!  It comes in a pack with Mint Macaroon and Sweet Sugarplum in a 6″x6″ size, with 4 pieces of each colour.    This glimmer paper and two more stamp sets will be available on 21 February.

I’m glad I only did a small piece of this dsp.  Every time I coloured in with another watercolour pencils, I found a leaf that I had missed!!  But I think I got them all in the end.

I hope you enjoyed my cards this week.  Next up is the talented Kelly.  I always love to see what she has created!!
