Here we are, back at Sunday again!!  We are casing the Love Blossoms section of the Occasions catalogue this week, and there are so many gorgeous projects to choose from!  I was thinking of using the Rose Wonder set but I see a few of the other Crew members beat me to it so I decided to use the Helping me Grow stamp set.  I had actually forgotten that I had this set but I’ve really enjoyed using it for these two cards.

 

For my first card, I was inspired by the bag in the middle.  I’ve done a card instead and I’ve used the forget-me-not flower stamp as well.  I have used the thick whisper white cardstock which is my new favourite cardstock to use.  I stamped the flower image in memento black ink and used blackberry bliss and old olive with an aqua painter to colour the flowers.  Have you noticed the cute little corner stamps that are in this set?  How cute are they? Very!!!

The banner stamp goes with the Rose Garden framelits perfectly!!  I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers but I did it after I took the picture.  It looks sparkly but you’ll just have to take my word for it!!

 

My second card is inspired by the one on the right.  I used the other flower stamp for this one and inked it up using markers.  I’ve done the hardwood background in crumb cake.  To soften it, I’ve added a layer of vellum and torn around the edges.  I have even used washi tape (shock, horror!!) to hold down the vellum.  I stamped the banner in whisper white and then the sentiment in memento black and then tried not to touch it so I didn’t smudge the white ink.
