CTC55 – Catty Section – Into the Woods

I am really enjoying caseing the 2015 Holiday catalogue this year. There are so many lovely projects to choose from!!

This week at Caseing the Catty we are up to the Into the Woods section. I don’t have many of the sets in this section but one of my favourite sets of the whole catalogue is Lighthearted Leaves. I have seen so many lovely cards done using this set. So, of course, it was the stamp set of choice this week.

I am caseing the sponged card on page 44 of the catty.

This was such an easy card to make. I made a template of the leaf and then sponged with the lighter colour. This is a polymer set which made it so easy to stamp the second image over the top.

I’ve gone with a different colour theme for the two cards I made. One combo of Soft Sky and Marina Mist and the other Perfect Plum and Blackberry Bliss. I added a touch of bling by using some silver thread. I don’t seem to have the knack of artistically arranging twine or thread, but you get the idea!!

I used the washi tape punch and the thanks sentiment from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

For the second card, I used the Lots of Labels framelits and trimmed it down and the happy birthday stamp from the Cottage Greetings set.

I’m very happy with the end result!! I might have to do this with some more sets!!

  1. Beautiful Bec, I’m so glad you did this card as I have looked at a few times in the catalogue and thought I must try that! Thanks for showing how it looks in other colours, amazing how different they both look, love the blue one.

  2. Love it! I hadn’t even noticed it in the green but in your colours it quickly grabbed my attention. I am trying not to buy this set but you keep showing me so many gorgeous creations with it.
