Welcome to Caseing the Catty!! I hope you are having a great weekend. I’m writing my post on Friday as I’m working this weekend. It’s been quite humid over the last couple of days!! I’ve made some gingerbread and was hoping to decorate with fondant but it’s so humid that my fondant is sweating!! Hopefully I’ll be able to get it done later today once I’ve got the air conditioning on.
This week, we are casing a non Christmassy card and giving it a Christmas twist.
I’ve gone back to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and I’m casing the card on page 25 that features the poppy flowers.
I wanted to use the Painted Christmas DSP which I love and the Poinsettia dies, so this layout is perfect. I added a small strip down the left side and embossed a piece of Evening Evergreen using the Wintry 3d embossing folder.
I then cut out 4 of the Poinsettia flowers in the Red foil and curved them slightly using a bone folder. The sentiment is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set and cut out using the Seasonal Labels dies.
Next up is my friend, Michelle.
We would love to see your creation, so please share over on at our Facebook group.
Happy Stamping

Great choice of colours for this one, that poinsettia looks great in the red foil.
Thank you 😊
Great case. I love how you chose the darker embossed panel. It makes the sentiment and poinsettia really pop.
Thanks!
Doesn’t the flower look amazing with the red foil!! So perfect!
Thank you 😊
Your card is so classically Christmas! The foil poinsettia looks fantastic. Good luck with the humidity and getting the gingerbread decorated!
Thanks!!
