We’ve had a bit of change at Case-ing the Catty and we are now doing a blog hop every week starting at 7pm on Friday.
This week we are casing the Wedding section of the Occasions catalogue (pages 42-44) of the AU/NZ catalogue.
I don’t have the wedding stamps as I’m in that period of no weddings (but lots of 40th’s!!). I do however have the gorgeous Something Borrowed DSP and Something Lacy stamp. Did you know that the DSP has 4 sheets of each pattern so if you are making invites etc, you have enough of one design to go around.
So I decided to case the card on page 42.
Isn’t it pretty! I love the Something Lacy stamp!! Especially when it is stamped on vellum.
Here is my version.
I used the sentiment from the Big News stamp set and embossed it in silver. I coloured the flowers using the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker. I used the White Jute Ribbon, Sahara Sand Lace Trim and the Silver Baker’s twine like the original which adds lots of dimension.
I decided to make another couple of cards to showcase the gorgeous Something Borrowed DSP.
I used the Perfect Pennants stamp set for the sentiment and cut it out with the Chalk Talk framelits. I also used Lost Lagoon ribbon.
On this one, I used the Feels Good stamp set and the Deco framelits. I trimmed the top of the shape with my paper snips.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects. I’d love you to leave a comment below.
Please continue on hopping through the Design Team blogs. Next on the list is Alison Barclay.

Beautiful card set Bec, as usual. I love that with a quick colour change you get a totally different affect. Same, same but different!
Beautiful work Bec!
Fabulous trio of cards, Rebecca! Love the layered trims & your colour pretty combos. 🙂
What a beautiful line up of cards. I think I should have ordered that DSP 🙂 See you next week! Yay!
Hi Rebecca, these are all gorgeous, love the different looks with the change of colour – and I haven’t see that DSP up close so I really appreciated that.
Cheers, Liz
Thank you for your kind comments. It is gorgeous paper!
Lovely cards, can’t pick a favourite, all too pretty.
Love every one of the cards!!
What gorgeous cards you have created Rebecca. You’ve now inspired me to use vellum more often on my creations. It is simply elegant and sophisticated. Thank you for sharing ☺️
Glad you like them! Vellum is one of those products we often forget!
SNAP! Your cards are so lovely!! I particularly am fond of the first one…I tried to colour the embossing like you did, but mine did not come up as well as yours so I ditched it. Beautiful projects as usual. 🙂
Love these cards. The Lost Lagoon is my favourite. The colour just pops against the Sahara Sand!
I like it too! Thanks!
