CTC128 – Favourite Retiring Kit

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!!  I hope you have had a lovely day.  I took my mum to a cake decorating show and we had a great time and have come home all inspired to decorate cakes and biscuits!!

So this week at Caseing the Catty, we are casing our favourite kit.  Unfortunately, the kit I’ve chosen, Watercolor Wishes kit, is retiring, so make sure you grab one before 31 May.

I made this kit for my Pop as his Christmas present.  I do this every year with one of our kits for him.  After all, it’s a bit hard to buy something useful for a 93 year old!  He gets Christmas cards for his birthday and birthday cards for Christmas!!

I cased two of the cards from this kit.  You’ll just have to guess which ones but I think you will be able to!  They were so quick and easy to make.  I think the longest part was trying to find the washi tape!

For the first card, I did a wash with the new in-colour, Berry Burst.  I really like this colour!  I used the You’re So Sweet stamp set.  I’m not sure if the washi tape I’ve used is current as they are all in a big bundle together!!

For my second card, I used Dapper Denim and another new in-colour, Lemon Lime Twist.  It’s not my favourite in-colour but it goes nicely with Dapper Denim.  For this card, I used the Sweet Treat bag framelits to raise up the centre part of the banner.

I just love how you can use the projects from the catalogues as inspiration and create your own masterpiece!  There’s no need to ever be stuck for an idea, just check out your catalogue.

And speaking of catalogues, if you would like to receive a new catalogue, please contact me and I’ll send one out to you.  Just email me at stampinwithrebecca@yahoo.com.au

So next up is the lovely Kelly.  I can’t wait to see what she has created.  I’m sure its gorgeous, just like her!!

Happy Mother’s Day
