Can you believe that we are almost at the end of July!!  Where is this year going!! I’m still waiting for winter to arrive, here in Queensland.  It was 28 degrees yesterday and I had on my t-shirt and shorts!!  It’s a bit cooler today but still feels like Autumn.

This week we are back casing the Everyday Occasions section of the 2016-2017 Annual catalogue from pages 66-91.

There are so many gorgeous cards to case!!  I love the Layering Love stamp set although I haven’t got it yet.  I was inspired by the card featuring this set on the top right of the picture.

I decided to use the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set for my card and I didn’t feel it was quite appropriate to make a shaker card like the sample.  I embossed the main card with the Sparkle embossing folder in Soft Sky cardstock, then cut out a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals framelits in So Saffron and then attached it to the front of the card.  I then cut out the oval on both layers.  I then stamped the sentiment in Soft Sky on a separate piece of cardstock and attached it from behind.  That way, I could make sure it was centred nicely!!

I then punched a few little flowers and leaves using the Blossom Builder punch and scrunched them up a bit to give some texture and attached them with glue dots.  And of course, there are a few of the teeny tiny pearls in the centre of the flowers.
