This week’s CTC blog hop is showcasing the Graduation section of the Occasions catalogue. You may have been like me and asked where is this section?!! It’s on page 45 of the AU/NZ Occasions catty.

There’s not many projects to choose from on this page but I decided to case the gift card envelope in the right hand corner.

My nieces are getting to the age where a gift voucher is the best present, so I’ve made this card for my youngest niece who has a birthday coming up soon.

I love the specialty paper in the Birthday Bash DSP as it has little flecks of gold in it. I wanted to highlight this so I added a layer of gold foil sheets behind the crumb cake embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder.

I used the Jute ribbon as part of the “belly band” and a piece of the confetti specialty paper over the top.

To create the look under the BYOP stamp, I just used my Bermuda Bay marker and coloured a large splat!

I had forgotten that I had the Gold Basic metal buttons but I found them on my desk and thought they would make a good substitute on the card.
