CTC378 – Love and Thanks

It’s been a gorgeous sunny weekend!! I hope you’ve been able to get out and about to enjoy it. My husband and I went out on for a ride on our scooters and we had a great time, until someone’s battery went flat!! I got to wait with the dead one whilst my husband took mine and got the car. Fun times!!

This week, we are casing the Love, Thanks and Support section, pages 56 to 77, of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue.

There are lots of pretty cards in this section and it was hard to decide which card to case. And then I turned to page 74 and I knew I had to have a play with the hexagon card.

I don’t have the Honeybee Home set although I think I might need it!! I cut out the hexagons from the Beautiful Shapes dies and used a piece of Fresh Freesia dsp from the Butterfly Kisses DSP. I then used a blending brush on white cardstock to create lighter colours in the same shades. I then laid out the hexagons to work out the layout and attached them. The sentiment is from the Lovely & Lasting stamp set. I did pop up this one with dimensionals. I cut the flowers out from the Meadow dies and coloured them using Old Olive and Daffodil Delight blends. I added a few retired ladybug trinkets instead of bling as I thought they were cute.

Next up is the lovely Julia.

We would love to see your creations, so please share over on at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping!!

  1. I love how you have switched the colours around from the original! My family love electric scooters too, though a bit cold at the moment!

  2. Oh, how pretty! The coloured die cut flowers look amazing over the soft hexagon background. Gorgeous card! I’m glad you were enjoying your scooter ride until the battery went flat!
