CTC323 – It’s a foodie theme

I got to go to a craft show this week with my mum. It wasn’t as big as they have been in the past but it was nice to see all the exhibitors and see lots of new goodies. I love to papercraft but I also do lots of other crafts like cross stitch, diamond painting, embroidery, patchwork and sashiko. I got a few kits from My Felt Lady to make up and I can’t wait for my holidays in a couple of weeks time to have a play!!

We have a fun case this week, where we are casing projects that feature food!

Now I’m not really into the food/fruit stamps so I don’t have any but that’s not reason to not case a foodie card! I thought the card on page 43 would be a great card to case and use the In Bloom bundle which I just purchased.

I do like the gingham paper so I look through my stash and used one of the striped pieces from the You’re a Peach DSP. I based my colours on the DSP, so I used Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and Bumblebee. I cut out a few flowers from the Pierced Blooms dies and a couple of leaves. I love that Stampin’ Up! are bringing out dies that have multiples of the same die so that you can run them both through at the same time. I attached the leaves and flowers using glue dots with the card in a portrait style but then I turned the card landscape and found the perfect place for the sentiment which is from the In Bloom stamp set.

Next up is the lovely Tina.

We would love to see your foodie creation, so please share over on at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping!!

  1. Love how you flipped the orientation and used the flowers instead of the strawberries. The DSP is perfect.
