I’m sure we are in Autumn but it was so hot yesterday for my card class!! I’m ready for it to start getting cooler any time soon!! The ladies did enjoy the class and the air conditioning as well.

We are casing our favourite retiring stamp set this week. It’s like trying to choose a favourite child!

I decided to showcase the So Much Love stamp set and the card on page 52.

I actually cased the whole card but I did use a different DSP for the background. I used a piece of Bumblebee DSP from the Flowers for Every Season pack, which then helped me choose the colour for the rose. I used the subtle embossing folder which I am so sad is retiring. It will be staying in my stash!! I cut out a piece of DSP and vellum using the Stitched Rectangle dies (which are staying, yay!) and a smaller piece of Bumblebee cardstock and an Old Olive rectangle for the sentiment.

I coloured the flower using the Old Olive and Daffodil Delight blends. I also added a lot of Wink of Stella on the flower (possibly more than I intented but it all came out at once!!).
