CTC310 – Case Tie Layout

Welcome to another fun week at Caseing the Catty. If you have been affected by the flooding in New South Wales, I hope you and your family are safe.

We have a great sketch this week to play with. It’s the Three Tie card in the middle on page 66 of the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue.

Here’s the sketch to go with it.

This is such a versatile sketch!! You can do so many different cards with it. I’ve decided to use the Brilliant Wings dies and the gorgeous Butterfly Bijou dsp.

I’ve layered a piece of dsp on Basic White with a Mint Macaron card base. I’ve then cut out a stitched rectangle in Basic White and I first played with stamped butterflies but they were too big for the rectangle. I decided to die cut a couple of the smaller butterflies in So Saffron and Mint Macaron.

For the third spot, I used Poppy Parade ink with the sentiment from the Delicate Petals stamp set. I then punched it out using the Label Me Fancy punch. Although I love using dies, sometimes it’s a bit quicker to use a punch.

Don’t you just love these butterflies!! You can get the whole bundle for an amazing price! It includes the dies, stamp set, Butterfly Bijou dsp and some specialty paper as well.

Next up is the fabulous Sandra.

We would love to see your creations using our sketch so please share over on at our Facebook group!

Happy Stamping!!

  1. Great card. I love how you used the sentiment as one of the 3 elements in the middle of the card. The butterflies look great

  2. Putting the greeting in the middle as one of the elements is a great idea!! Love the bright happy colours – so joyful.
