CTC277 – Casing the colours of the Flowers for Every Season Dsp

I’ve been back to work in the office now for 2 weeks and am getting back into the office routine. My office doesn’t have any windows and I’m missing seeing the sun and nature in general!

Oh and this week, we are celebrating 6 years of Casing the Catty!! We were created by the talented Bronwyn Eastley, who is currently enjoying her retirement in Tasmania. We still have a few original team members and we have been loving sharing all the Stampin’ Up! catalogues with you over the years.

This weeks challenge is a bright fun one! We are casing the colours of the Flowers for Every Season dsp, which are Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Poppy Parade and Whisper White. It’s such a bright and pretty set of papers.

I’ve gone with simple this week. I sometimes get carried away with making cards too busy but I wanted to pair it back to showcase this pretty paper.

Now you don’t need to use the dsp to create your card but I couldn’t help myself. As I was thinking about creating my card, I decided to create a window using the largest square from the Layering Squares dies.

I then cut a slightly larger square of dsp and put it behind the window. I felt it needed another layer of colour between the whisper white base card and the window panel so I added piece of Poppy Parade and Misty Moonlight respectively. My sentiments are from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set and I used my Stamparatus to attempt to get the sentiment straight.

I think I’ll be sending these cards off to my nieces to encourage them.

Next up is the lovely Peta and Marvi.

We would love to see your creations showcasing the colours of the Flowers for Every Season dsp over on at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping

  1. Your cards are gorgeous! Don’t you love it when the DSP does all of the hard work for you? The blue card is especially lovely – but I am a blue girl at heart. Congrats on 6 years with CTC!
