CTC260 – Week 2 – Caseing the January June 2020 Mini Catalogue

Welcome to Week 2 of our challenge. As mentioned last week, we are running challenges for 2 weeks and the Crew is doing a separate hop each week.

So our challenge is to case anything from the 2020 January – June Mini Catalogue.

When I sat down to create my card for this challenge, the catalogue fell open to page 20 which features the So Sentimental bundle. I then realised that I don’t have this bundle but I need it as I love label dies!! I have now fixed this situation and it’s on it’s way to me!! But I did like the card on the top right.

The background of the card is one of the label shapes cut out a number of times. I liked that idea, so I used a piece of the 2018 – 2020 In-colour DSP stack in Pineapple Punch and punched it out with the Label Me Fancy punch.

I played around with the layout and eventually found one I was happy with. I decided to use the Sale-a-bration Happy Birthday to You stamp set and coloured it with a combination of blends (Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green and Light Smoky Slate) and blender pens (Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point). I then fussy cut the image out. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and the label is from the Painted label dies.

I have to admit, blue and yellow is one of my favourite colour combos!!

Next up is the lovely Tina.

We would love to see your creations from the 2020 January – June Mini Catalogue so make sure you share it over on at our Facebook group.

Happy Stamping

  1. Blue and yellow is such fun!!! This is such a cheerful card, and a great CASE of the inspiration card. The cake works so well as the hero element and I love the way the repeated tags on the background look. I’m so glad you’ve fixed your problem of not having the So Sentimental bundle and am looking forward to seeing what you make with that as well. 🙂 Siobhan.

  2. I had not noticed the label background, it does add a lot of interest. Those colours you’ve used are quite electric!💥
