CTC198 – Frosted Floral

ctc_header

I’ve got a busy weekend happening!  My Pop turns 95 next week and we had a family party yesterday.  All the grandkids and great grandkids came from interstate to celebrate together.  So nice to catch up with everyone.

Tomorrow I’m heading to Sydney with a friend to see The Piano Guys who are playing at the Sydney Opera House!!  I can’t wait!!

But today, I’ve been making the card for tonight’s blog hop.  This week, we are casing the Frosted Floral section, pages 36-41 of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

Oh I love the Frosted Floral bundle!!  The Frosted Floral Specialty DSP is just devine.  The pretty designs are on shimmery paper which steps it up a notch!

I am casing a card from the cover page, page 36.  It’s the one on the right, here.

I have made mine as a normal sized card.  Looking at the original, it seems that they might have fussy cut the flowers from the dsp.  Well, I don’t really like fussy cutting, and I’ve got a lovely set of framelits so I stamped a few of the flowers from the First Frost stamp set and cut them out with the Frosted Bouquet framelits..  I also cut out some using silver foil for an added bit of shine.

To create the sentiment with the border, the framelits come with two frame pieces.  I cut out a full sized white background and then using the smaller frame inside the larger one, cut it out in blushing bride cardstock.  I then just glued it over the white frame and added a bit of Stella.

I really love the colours in this DSP, it’s so pretty!!

Next up is the lovely Sandra in New Zealand.
