Can you believe we are up to the three week of the new catalogue already!! This year is flying past so quickly. I’m actually counting down to the end of September when I embark on an adventure!! I’m travelling with a girlfriend to New York (and also visiting Washington, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Quebec, Ottawa and Niagara Falls. Oh and we’re doing a cruise as well!!) Only 101 days until we leave!!
So this week we are showcasing the Thanks section of the catalogue on pages 38-43.
I decided to case the gift bag on page 42.
I’ve changed it up a bit by firstly making it as a card and then changing the colours. I love the new Floral Boutique DSP so that was my inspiration. I don’t have the new doilies yet so I went with gold ones instead (you can’t go wrong with gold!!). The Floral Affection embossing folders are so lovely!! I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and the matching Duet Banner punch. Love it when it all matches perfectly!!
And of course, you need gold satin ribbon and gold sequins to finish it off!!
I hope you like my card!! Please let me know in the comments at the end. Next on the hop is the lovely Kathryn.
We are looking for new Crew members. Just click on the link below to the CTC post and it will explain what you need to do.
Stampin’ Up! Product List
This week at Case-ing the Catty, we are up to the Thanks section of the catalogue. There are so many lovely cards to choose from!! You may have come from my very talented friend, Emma, or be starting here with me.
I decided to case the card on the bottom of page 15 which uses the A World of Thanks stamp. I love this stamp!! Did you know that it says thank you in each language of the countries that Stampin’ Up! is in!! Isn’t that great!!!
I decided to be a little different though and use the Bravo stamp set which has lots of congratulations sentiments on it. I laid out the stamps on a piece of card to try and get them all to fit. I then stamped each one in versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I did it one word at a time so that the ink didn’t dry out.
I then added some stars using the star framelits, in Cherry Cobbler and Gold glimmer paper. I also used the gold thread from the gold baker’s twine behind the stars. Can you believe that I forgot to order the new gold and silver metallic threads!! How on earth did that happen!!
I hope you like my card. I’d love it if you could leave me a comment below!!
The next stop on the hop is my other talented friend, Jessica.
I recently got the Lovely Little Labels stamp set and the matching Little Labels Punch Pack and they are so cute!! They are teeny, tiny stamps and punches but oh so cute!!
I cased a card from Too Cool Stamping but made a few changes. I love the Elegant Butterfly punch as well. No more fussy cutting around butterflies for me!
My current favourite paper is the Birds of a Feather DSP. It matches nicely with the 2012-2013 in colours. I just love how everything SU! matches with each other!!
I put the greeting onto a circle punch to give it some ‘pop’ .

I recently purchased a template for a box’n’wrap from Tanya Bell, (you can buy it from here) and I have been procrastinating about making it. Well I had a couple of days off last week, so I got stuck into it. Tanya does great instructions and also has link to exclusive videos on how to put it together.
Here’s my box’n’wrap.
I made three different themed boxes, Thanks, Birthday and Christmas. I’ll post each one separately over the next few days. Here’s the boxes.
This is the Birthday box.
Here’s the Thanks box.
And here is the Christmas one. (There was no hestiation about what stamps for this one!!)
I’ll list the details of what I used on each individual post. I’m planning on giving this as a present to one of my friend’s who has a birthday coming up soon. I hope she likes it!!
