Whilst I was having fun at convention last week, my two dear friends, Emma and Jess, who couldn’t come, ran an event for our non-convention going team members which we called Convention@Home. They did an amazing job running challenges, discussion and prize patrols!!
I tried to help out beforehand and made cards for some of the challenges they did. The first challenge was to use your favourite retiring stamp set. This was a bit hard for me as I have a few favourites retiring 😦 I do love Stippled Blossoms as it looks so pretty without being that hard to use.
I also used a Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.
I’m pretty happy with how my version turned out!
I’m so sad that the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder is retiring! It was my first folder (sob).

I found this gorgeous card on Pinterest (where else!!) by Diana Gibbs here and fell in love!! My new favourite stamp set is Stippled Blossoms. I just love the look of 2 step stamping!!
We did this at Stamp Club in July and the girls loved it. Well, they didn’t quite love using the Stamp-a-ma-jig but they loved the look. I don’t think they really liked cutting out the flowers either but you can’t get such gorgeousness without a bit of hard work!! We used a few stamp sets but it was worth it.
I’d love to hear what you think. Please leave me a comment below.
Here’s a close up of the detail. We cut out three flowers and layered them to look like a large one.
I just realised that I managed a card which didn’t use the Big Shot!!! Doesn’t happen often!!

I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Modern Medley DSP and I found this lovely card on Pinterest by Linda Gutierrez here.
I didn’t have the same stamp set so I used one of my new favourite flower stamps, Stippled Blossoms. I love this set!!
Have I also mentioned that I love framelits and matching stamp sets!! and the new magnetic platform!! Words do not describe how fabulous it is. I love it!! So much better than using post-it notes.

I realised recently that I didn’t have any good flower stamps in my collection. I had been seeing a few cards using Stippled Blossoms which were very pretty and decided that this is the one for me!!
I was inspired by fellow Aussie demonstrator, Leonie Schroder’s card here. Isn’t this a gorgeous card!! I needed to make a card for a work colleague who is leaving today, so I turned it on it’s side and used the Go Forth stamp from the Word Play stamp set. This was a really easy card to make with only a little bit of fussy cutting around the flowers.
I shared this card on a demonstrator only facebook group that I am on, and I inspired Juliette Hendry (here) to make it as well!!
Stamp Sets: Stippled Blossoms, Word Play
Ink: Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red.
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, labels collection framelits, Lacy brocade embossing folder
