25 February 2013 – I love a good Honeycomb!!

Don’t we all, especially when it’s fat free!! I love the new Honeycomb embossing folder in the new Seasonal catalogue. I have seen so many gorgeous cards made with it on my favourite website, Pinterest!!!

My team, Eureka Stampers, has a monthly swap which generally has a theme. This month is the new catty. I enjoy using sketches to help design a card so this time I used the Mojo Monday 279 sketch. Check out the Mojo Monday blog here.

So, this is the sketch.

I wanted to used the new Core’dinations card stock as I haven’t opened the packet yet. I’ve also used the gorgeous More Amore Specialty DSP which is just lovely. I hope you like it!

I’ve been able to have a play with some of the SAB products and they are all so nice!! My team has been doing a swap and I’ve been receiving gorgeous cards in the mail (so much better than bills!!). I was inspired by the talented US demo, Mary Fish (check out her blog here).

I used the 1″ square punch to punch out the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper. I did two squares using the new Vine Street embossing folder (I love embossing!!). I then stamped the birthday sentiment from the Pretty Petites stamp set and punched it out using the Petite curly label punch. It is one of the cutest punches ever!!! I used the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack as well.

I hope the girls in the team like their swap!!

6 February 2012 – Wedding Card

It’s been such a hot day today that I stayed in the air conditioning and worked on a couple of ideas for cards for my next stamp club in a weeks time.  I recently purchased the Medallion stamp set which I have seen used on so many lovely cards and thought it was about time that I inked it up.

I just love Splitcoaststampers for inspiration (click here).  I found this great card by cgpop and gave it a wedding twist, seeing as I’m not ready to start Christmas cards just yet.  I’ve done a bit of embossing in white for the medallion and then gold for the sentiment.

Here’s a close up .

Stamps Set:  Medallion, Happy Greetings

Paper:  Brushed Gold, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Versamark

Accessories:  Gold embossing powder, white embossing powder, pearls, organza ribbon, crochet trim, large scallop circle punch
