I thought I would get one last post in before my trip starts on Wednesday. Whilst I’m away, my husband will be going to a surprise birthday party for his Uncle.
It’s a special zero birthday so I had to make a special card!! I don’t know about you, but I do struggle with boy cards. I turned to Pinterest for some inspiration and, of course, I found some! One of my favourite sets is Number of Years and the matching Large Numbers framelits. They are perfect for special occasion birthdays.
My colour selection was from the Moroccan DSP. Don’t you just love Dapper Denim! I need to use it more often. I cut out the numbers on Very Vanilla cardstock and mounted it over the Moroccan DSP. Then a quick banner cut from the Large Numbers framelits and a little piece of Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon.
I’m hoping Uncle Ted likes his card!! Happy Birthday!
Stampin’ Up! Product List
Father’s Day always creeps up on me and catches me by surprise!! I was just a little bit late giving my dad his card and present (sorry!!). I am so glad that The Open Sea stamp set has carried into the new catalogue. It is a great masculine set. I have cased this card from fellow demonstrator, Kim Stathakos. One of the great parts of being a demonstrator is that you get access to Stampin’ Connection which is a forum for all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, which is where I found Kim’s card. I’ve changed it a little as US card sizes are bigger than ours here in Australia. I hope you like it.
I’ve used Midnight Muse which is fast becoming my favourite blue!! Although there is a special place in my heart for Marina Mist as well.
Stamp Set: The Open Sea
Ink: Midnight Muse
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla
Wow, I’ve just realised that I didn’t use the Big shot or a punch. That’s a first for a while!!
