11 February 2013 – I’m on the banner wagon!

I’ve noticed whilst surfing Pinterest that Banners are becoming quite popular. I have loved them all and wanted to make one.

As you may have noticed, I love my Big Shot!! I’ve used so many dies!! Firstly, I started with Scallop Square Clear Bigz die. I love the fact that you can cut 6 pieces of cardstock in one go! I then used the Rosette XL Bigz die to cut out strips from the lovely new Tea for Two Designer Series Paper to make the rosettes. I used two strips per square. These are so easy to make using my trusty hot glue gun.

I then used the 2 3/8″ Scallop circle punch in So Saffron and then layered with the Circle 2# Original die cut from more of the Tea for Two DSP. I used the Naturals White card stock as the base circle for the letters.

This is the first time that I’ve used my new Typeset Alphabet Bigz die. Using the multipurpose adhesive sheets makes it so easy to attach the letters. I just had to think about which way the letters needed to be cut so that they weren’t backwards!!

I added the Tea Time Trinkets which are very cute!

I hope you like it! I’ve hung it in my craft room above the window that I sit in front of.

2 January 2013 – Cuteness!!!

I recently got the Lovely Little Labels stamp set and the matching Little Labels Punch Pack and they are so cute!!  They are teeny, tiny stamps and punches but oh so cute!!

I cased a card from Too Cool Stamping but made a few changes.  I love the Elegant Butterfly punch as well.  No more fussy cutting around butterflies for me!

My current favourite paper is the Birds of a Feather DSP.  It matches nicely with the 2012-2013 in colours.  I just love how everything SU! matches with each other!!

2 September 2012 – It’s here!!

It’s so exciting, the new Stampin’ Up! 2012-2013 Catalogue is here!!!

There are so many gorgeous new stamps, designer series papers to die for, ribbon to drool over and Big Shot dies!!  My heart is happy!!  You will be excited to know that we have virtually the same catalogue as the US market, which is great news!

We are also launching the very first Seasonal Catalogue at the same time.  The mini catalogues have been replaced by Seasonal Catalogues.  They are available longer, (this one is here until 31 January), and are bigger.  I have to say that the Christmas range is fabulous!!  I’ve got some of it and it is great!!

If you would like to receive a copy of both, please contact me with your postal details, and I’ll send one out to you.  Or you can host a party and receive all the amazing hostess beneifts!!

Today’s card is using one of the new big shot framelits, Apothecary Accents.  I love framelits!!  They are so easy to use and look fab.  I have cased this card.

14 August 2012 – July Stamp Club

Hi there,

It’s starting to get a bit warmer during the day now although it is a bit chilly at night time.  Here’s the cards that we made at July Stamp Club (yes I know I’m late posting!!)  I was inspired by swaps that I had received at Convention for all these cards.  The first one is from fellow Demonstrator, Cathy Clark.

Here is her card using the Spirelli technique.

And here is my card.  Yes, it’s time for a Christmas Card!!

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive markers

Accessories:  Big Shot, Perfect Pennants die, Boho Blossoms punch, White baker’s twine, Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine, Rhinestone.

The next card was inspired by Bronwen Cornish. I did virtually the same card that she did.  We made ours in Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.  You can’t really tell from the photo but we put a multipurpose adhesive sheet over the centre panel and put dazzling diamonds over the top.  We were all a bit sparkly going home!!

Stamps:  It’s Your Birthday, Mixed Bunch

Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White

Ink:  Tempting Turquoise

Accessories:  Blossom punch, Multi-purpose adhesive sheets, 1″ circle punch, dazzling diamonds.

The last card was by Heather Moekotte which I just love!  I really love the Tea Shoppe stamp set. And guess what, it’s in the new Catalogue!!!!  woo hoo!!!

25 July 2012 – Card Chest

I recently visited one of my downline and she showed me some of the amazing 3d items that she has made.  She gave me a template for a card chest by Jenny Moors, an UK Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  Here’s a link to her blog, http://stampingmoments.blogspot.com.au/.  As it was the birthday of one of my other downlines, I thought I would give this a try.  I’m happy with the result, I hope you like it!!  Here’s the chest.

Here’s the cards.  For the small cards, I made the envelopes using the new Diagonal Scoring plate for the Simply Scored.

Stamp Sets:  Sincere Saluations

Paper:  Mocha Morning DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Black, Cherry Chobbler

Accessories: Big Shot, Stripes embossing folder, Lots of Tags Sizzlets Die set, Black Satin Ribbon, Simply Scored, Diagonal scoring plate

6 July 2012 – Gift cards and Box

Hi everyone!!

Hope you are enjoying the lovely cool weather that we’ve been having!!  At last month’s Stamp Club, we made the cutest box and 3 little gift cards.  I used the 3 x 3 box tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers, click here for the link.

We got to play with the new Simply Scored tool, which makes scoring for boxes so easy!  I really like it!

Here’s the box.

I just love the Twitterpated DSP.  It’s so cute and I love the different sheets in the pack to give a different look.  Here’s the cards.

We also used the new Diagonal scoring plate to make matching little envelopes but I forgot to take a photo of one.

Paper:  Twitterpated DSP, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red.

Ink:  Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze

28 April 2012 – April Stamp Club

Last weekend we had stamp club, so I thought I would share our cards with you.  I focused on some of the new stamp sets and fabulous new tools available in the latest Autumn Winter mini catalogue.

This first one focuses on the Adorning Accents edgelits and the matching embossing folder, including the co-ordinating stamp set, Bordering on Romance.  Once you get the hang of the edgelits, they are very easy to use and look absolutely fabulous!! I did case this one but I can’t find where.

Stamps:  Bordering on Romance, Party Time

Ink:  Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Staz on Black, Pear Pizzazz

Paper:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Accessories:  Adorning Accents Edgelits, Big Shot, Adorning Accents Embossing folder, Basic Pearls, blender pens, organza white ribbon

The next card is cased from here.  I used it as my inspiration but I used different colours and different stamps.  I made the rosette using the new Simply Scored which is great.  It makes making rosette’s so easy!!

 Stamp Sets:  Word Play

Ink:  Versamark

Paper:  Beau Chateau DSP, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist

Accessories:  Lace Ribbon Border punch, 1 3/4″ scallop circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Scallop Circle #2 die, Very Vanilla Seam binding ribbon, subtles buttons.

I had some issues with the single photo that I took, so the next card is in a group of three.  I couldn’t decide on which colour combination to go with, so I had a couple of attempts.  I went with the card in the middle, using the gorgeous new Twitterpated DSP.  Love it!!  I also used the new Tea Shoppe stamp set which is so cute!  I did case this card but again, can’t find the link!!

Stamp Set:  Tea Shoppe

Ink:  Riding Hood Red,  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze

Paper:  Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Twitterpated DSP

Accessories:  Pear Pizzazz pleated satin ribbon, Adorning Accents edgelits, 1 1/4″ square punch.
