Well, my amazing holiday is all over and I’m back Caseing the Catty with you!
I had a wonderful time in Orlando, Florida, going to the Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios and of course, attending Onstage Live.
For those who don’t know, Stampin’ Up! holds demonstrator only events every six months, called Onstage. There is a 3 day Live event held in one region and all the other regions have a 1 day local event. This event was extra special as it was the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up! I was also privileged to attended the Centrestage Leadership event which was held at Epcot.
Hanging out with new friends

I’ll be doing a blog post this week sharing more about my trip, so make sure you check back.
So back to CTC! We are casing our Favourite Holiday Big Shot projects from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.
I love the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle which includes the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set and the Detailed Poinsettia thinlits. I haven’t used this set enough!
I have cased the card on the right with a few changes. I do love the corrugated embossing folder which I sponged (or dragged the ink pad over) in Whisper White ink. I added a piece of Lovely Lipstick grosgrain ribbon to the right of the corrugated piece.
Another favourite big shot item is the Stitched Labels framelits, so I used the large label framelit for the sentiment. I had already cut out the Poinsettia framelits and hadn’t used them, so I just played with the layout.
To purchase the products that I have used to create this card, head down to the bottom of my post where you will see the little images of the products. Just click on the image and you will be taken to my online store.
Next up is the lovely Monique.
Make sure you join in with us and share your favourite Holiday Big Shot project over at our Facebook group.
Stampin’ Up! Product List
This month, Stampin’ Up! have a great special on my most favourite tool ever!! Yes, it’s the Big Shot!! I always struggle to not use my Big Shot when I make cards. I just love using it, whether it is to do embossing on a card or cutting out with dies or framelits.
You can purchase a big shot in the month of August for only $149.95 and choose, from a selected list, a matching framelit and stamp set bundle!! Valued up to nearly $100!!
And if you already own a big shot, you can get 15% off the bundles!! The list includes a new stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue.
You can go straight to my online store and purchase these bundles, right here.
One of my favourite parts of Convention is receiving free stamps!!! I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Leadership and Managers’ Reception with some of the lovely girls in my team.
We got to go to the Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne for a lovely dinner and dancing!! We also got spoilt with a beautiful gift of a gorgeous lacy cream scarf and the I Love Lace stamp set.
So I was having an online crafting session with a gorgeous friend and crazy stamper, and we gave each other a colour challenge and a sketch challenge to do. My colours were Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand.
So what do you think!! The lace stamp is so gorgeous that it goes with almost anything!!
This year just seems to be flying past so quickly!! It’s already June and Winter is deciding that it might come to Queensland!! I think this is the first time that I’ve been cold 2 days in a row!! And another exciting part of June is the Retirement list is here!!
I love going through the Mojo Monday sketches when I’m having trouble coming up with a card. I found this great sketch, number 345, and thought I could do something with that! You can go here, to check out the 2014 sketches.
I love the Eastern Elegance DSP and I’m sad to see it go but we must move on and embrace the new paper which is coming!! I used the Blessings from Heaven stamp set which is also retiring.
I hope you like these cards. Leave a comment below!

Can you believe that it’s a new year already!!! I can’t!! I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a great new year with friends and family.
I wanted to share a project that I made for a fabulous friend’s birthday.
I had received a Christmas version last year (woops, sorry the year before!!) and wanted to make a non-xmas one for my friend.
I picked up the cane heart for $4 from a Homewares store (which I then saw for $2 in the Boxing Day sales!) Then it was just a matter of deciding on a stamp set and away I went.
My friend loves purple so I used Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. I also used a couple of embossing folders, Lacy Brocade and my first favourite, Perfect Polka Dots and the Oval Accent Bigz die and of course, the Deco Labels Collection framelits. Gee, the Big Shot really got a work out on this project, didn’t it!!
A bit of hand cutting and then I was ready to assemble it and attach it to the heart with my trusty hot glue gun.
I hope you like it!!
Stamp Set: From my Heart
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Perfect Polka dot embossing folder, Oval Accent Bigz die, Deco Labels Collection framelits, circle punch, large rhinestones, white organza ribbon, Vintage faceted designer buttons.
My birthday was at the end of January and my amazingly talented Stampin’ Sister, Jess, sent me an absolutely awesome birthday card!! She is sooo talented!! Check out her blog here.
I didn’t have the same stamp set that she had used, so I improvised with what I had. I used the Delicate Doilies stamp set (which I love!!) and embossed each of the “doilies” with white embossing powder. I then coloured them using markers and blenders pens. I just love the rounded corner which I tried to punch out but was a dismal failure so I ended up cutting it by hand. Sometimes, you just have to go the old fashioned way!!
I also love the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit!! Too pretty!!
Stamp sets: Delicate Doilies, Curly Cute
Ink: Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight, Versa Mark
Paper: Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Doilies sizzlit, White embossing powder, heat gun, blender pens, Naturals Designer Buttons, Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
I hope you are enjoying the retirement list!! Contact me for more info or to place an order, firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0408 193 792.
I realised recently that I didn’t have any good flower stamps in my collection. I had been seeing a few cards using Stippled Blossoms which were very pretty and decided that this is the one for me!!
I was inspired by fellow Aussie demonstrator, Leonie Schroder’s card here. Isn’t this a gorgeous card!! I needed to make a card for a work colleague who is leaving today, so I turned it on it’s side and used the Go Forth stamp from the Word Play stamp set. This was a really easy card to make with only a little bit of fussy cutting around the flowers.
I shared this card on a demonstrator only facebook group that I am on, and I inspired Juliette Hendry (here) to make it as well!!
Stamp Sets: Stippled Blossoms, Word Play
Ink: Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red.
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, labels collection framelits, Lacy brocade embossing folder
