21 September 2012 – It’s time to start getting ready for Christmas!!

I can’t believe that Christmas is not very far away!!  Only 95 more sleeps!!  Does that make you panic!  It does to me!!

Since the release of the Holiday catalogue, I have seen lots of gorgeous ornaments being made by talented stampers.  Alison Barclay, a fellow SU demonstrator, posted this gorgeous Kusudama ball on her blog recently and it looked so nice that I thought I would give it a go.  I found a few tutorials on the web but the one I used was from Folding Trees.  You can check it out here.  You need lots of patience to make it as it takes 60 squares which all need to be folded individually.  I did it over a couple of nights watching tv.  Once the flower petals were made and glittered (I put dazzling details around the inside of each petal), it came together quickly.  I hope you like mine!
