This year just seems to be flying past so quickly!! It’s already June and Winter is deciding that it might come to Queensland!! I think this is the first time that I’ve been cold 2 days in a row!! And another exciting part of June is the Retirement list is here!!
I love going through the Mojo Monday sketches when I’m having trouble coming up with a card. I found this great sketch, number 345, and thought I could do something with that! You can go here, to check out the 2014 sketches.
I love the Eastern Elegance DSP and I’m sad to see it go but we must move on and embrace the new paper which is coming!! I used the Blessings from Heaven stamp set which is also retiring.
I hope you like these cards. Leave a comment below!
You can check out the retiring stamps and accessories, here or click on my Specials page.
Well, I’m on a challenge roll this week!! I love a sketch challenge as I am quite “challenged” when it comes to creating original designs!! My team is having a fortnightly sketch challenge on our Facebook group so I’ve decided to jump in and join up.
Here is this week’s sketch.
And here is my 2 cards. I had planned on making 2 of the same so that I had more cards in my stash to give away but I got excited when cutting out the camera’s and used the piece of card stock that I had cut for the second base!! So we ended up with 2 slightly different cards!!
I’d love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment below.
You might be wondering what all the images are at the bottom of my posts. Firstly, they are all the products that I’ve used to make these cards. If you click on the image, it will take you to my online store, straight to that item, so you can purchase it immediately and have it sent directly to you. How great is that!!
Have you seen the High Tide Designer Series Paper that is in the current Occasions catalogue. It had gone under the radar for a while but I purchased it recently and it’s gorgeous!! Great for those male cards which can sometimes be a bit of a challenge.
And speaking of challenges, my team has recently started doing card sketch challenges on our Facebook group.
So here is the sketch.
And here’s my version.
I used the print on the DSP to be the main focus. Did you know that you can extend the banners when you use framelits? I just cut the strip of paper a bit thinner and pulled the back end through the framelit so it wouldn’t cut the paper. Easy Peasy!!
And the only way I going to get some, is if I make them!!
I am loving the new Spiral Flower Original die. One of the girls at my recent team day did a presentation on it and did an awesome job with convincing us all that we need it!!
I found this cute bag on Pinterest by BJ Peters, and thought it would make a lovely card to do at Stamp Club.
I didn’t change a lot as I thought it was really cute. I was really happy with how my rose turned out!!
See, isn’t nice!!
I made up the extra packs once the girls had gone home. I love roses!!
