CTC11 – I love a good tag!!

This week at Case-ing the Catty, we have started on the Holiday Catalogue!!  There are so many tags in the catty once you start looking!!  It was hard to decide which one to case!!  However, as soon as I saw the box and cute tag on page 20 of the AU/NZ catalogue, I knew what I was going to make!!

Isn’t it cute!!  And of course, I had to use the new gift box punch board!!  You may notice that I love this!!  I started with an 8″ x 8″ square of Kraft cardstock and scored at L on the start line and S on the Diagonal line.  I then stamped the cardstock with Versamark and used the larger snowflake stamp from the Letterpress Winter stamp set for a subtle print on the box.  I cut a 2″ strip from the gorgeous All is Calm Specialty DSP and wrapped it around the box with a piece of Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon.  Don’t you just love the paper doilies! They add a pretty touch!

To make the tag, I cut a 5cm wide strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock and punched out a tag using the Angled Tag Topper punch.  I then ran it through my Textured Boutique machine with the Lucky Stars embossing folder.  I used the Bitty Banner framelits to make the silver flags.  Next, I did some silver embossing on the brushed silver cardstock using the smaller snowflake stamp and punched it out with my new 2″ circle punch.  Then a quick stamp of the For You stamp and punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch.  I then added 2 mini silver brads for a bit of bling.  Then to assemble it on the box!  I added an All is Calm snowflake and attached a rhinestone for more shine!!

But I know that not everyone likes non-traditional colours at Christmas time, so I did a red/green one as well.  I used the Nordic Noel DSP on this one.  I hope you like it!!

For example, you can use a sketch idea for a card or 3D item.
