Welcome to another fabulous color combination at Colour Inkspiration Challenges!

Isn’t this a gorgeous picture!! You can check it out here. So our colour combo is Basic White, Real Red, Pool Party and Night of Navy. You may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pumpkin Pie instead of Calypso Coral … you get the drift).

So I decided to make my own dsp by using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Textures & Frames. So I stamped in Real Red, Pool Party and Night of Navy on an A5 piece of cardstock. Now don’t get excited like me and accidently stamp your real red stamp on the Pool Party ink pad!!!! A quick session of dabbing with my shammy, and inkpad was saved!!

I then just added layers of the cardstock and stamped a couple of sentiments from Pansy Patch and Peaceful Moments which I die cut using the Tasteful Labels dies. For my first card, I added some Real Red Sheer ribbon behind the sentiment.

For my second card, I cut out the “dsp” using the Scalloped Contours dies. And I added the ribbon along the length of the card.

Isn’t this a great idea!! You could try so many different colour combinations!

CTC322 – Case Favourite Annual Catty Suite

Welcome to Caseing the Catty! As you may know, I do shift work and I’ve been working the last couple of weekends. I don’t know what day it is anymore!! Could be Thursday, feels like Monday!

We are casing our Favourite Annual Catalogue Suite from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. Yes, we haven’t forgotten the Annual Catalogue in amongst the excitement of the Mini and SAB Catties!!

I am actually casing one of the cards from our challenge image which I didn’t do on purpose even though I’m the one who creates the graphics! I just love the Simply Elegant Suite which includes the Elegantly Said Stamp Set, Elegant Tag Punch, Simply Elegant DSP and the Simply Elegant Trim.

I am casing the small card on the left of the image.

I haven’t created a smaller card and have kept it at an A5 size. I added an extra strip of the gorgeous Simply Elegant DSP. I then punched out the Elegant Tag punch in Very Vanilla. I embossed the sentiment from Elegantly Said stamp set in copper embossing powder (don’t you love watching embossing powder melt!!). I then stamped the flower in Basic Gray. I did use the retired copper trim behind the punched shape and added a bow.

I had to make a second card using the Peaceful Prints DSP which is a Sale-a-bration freebie! I started off with a Garden Green base and I embossed another piece using the Wintry 3d embossing folder. I cut 5 stips of DSP and hand cut a reindeer. I cut out a couple of labels from the Seasonal Labels dies and stamped the sentiment from Christmas to Remember using markers.

I hope you like my cards, please leave me a comment and let me know! Next up is the lovely Rachel.

Please share your creation over on at our Facebook group.

CTC331 – Case Mini Catalogue

Welcome to another fun week at Caseing the Catty. I hope that you are all coping with the lockdowns and keeping safe at home.

This week, we are casing the July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue.

I just received the Frosted Gingerbread bundle and I couldn’t wait to have a play with this set. I’m casing the card in the middle of page 8.

I love that the dies in the Gingerbread dies cut out the DSP as well as the stamped images. I created 2 cards for this challenge. For the first card, I embossed a piece of Old Olive using the Wintry 3d embossing folder. I cut out the images from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP and put them on a piece of Real Red. The sentiment is from the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp set and I used the Seasonal Labels dies. The ribbon is Real Red Sheer Ribbon.

For my second card, I used the Tidings of Christmas DSP as the background. I didn’t add a banner for the ornaments. I cut out the ornaments using the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and added them to a white base. I used the same sentiment and dies and used the Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon.

Next up is the lovely Julia. I can’t wait to see what she has created this week.

We would love to see your creation so please share over on at our Facebook group.

CTC330 – Sale-a-bration

Well hasn’t it been an “interesting” week. As a Queenslander, I am excited that we are now out of lockdown. Yay, I get to go to work tomorrow! It has been nice to not have to commute or make lunches ahead of time but there have been a couple of days that I was soo cold!! Luckily, hot water bottle to the rescue!! My thoughts and prayers are with everyone else who is still in lockdown.

Something else that is exciting this week, is that the 2021 July – December Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration catalogues have gone live!! We are casing the Sale-a-bration Catalogue this week.

I didn’t very far through the catalogue and went with the Joy card on the right. When I looked closely at the red flower, I realised that the flower was the Be Dazzling paper which had been spritzed. Of course, I had to give that a try.

I started off by cutting a banner from the Beautifully Penned DSP which is a SAB freebie and sponging it with Shaded Spruce and a blending brush. I then cut out a flower from the Poinsettia dies in the Be Dazzling paper. I then spritzed it with Cherry Cobbler ink. I’m so glad that I cleaned my desk yesterday for a Zoom chat with my stamping ladies as I spritzed some of my desk as well!! I sat it in the sun to dry whilst I got the greenery sorted out.

I stamped some greenery in Shaded Spruce from the Forever Fern stamp set and die cut them out. I also stamped some holly from the Merriest Moment stamp set and Merriest Frames dies in Granny Apple Green. I then cut out some sprigs in Cherry Cobbler and Be Dazzling paper from the Poinsettia dies.

I enjoyed creating the sentiment using a couple of the sentiment stamps from the Merriest Moment set.

If you love the Be Dazzling paper, you can choose it as your SAB freebie when you spend $90 with me!

Next up is the lovely Tina.

We would love to see your creations casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue, so please share over on at our Facebook group.
