9 November 2011 – Brisbane Regional event

Last Saturday I attended the Stampin’ Up! Brisbane Regional training event with some of the girls in my team and a few of my customers.  My upline, Tracy was also able to attend.  It was a great day of catching up, swapping, sharing, learning and laughs!!!  This is why I love Stampin’ Up!  They are such a generous business!!  They had door prizes during the day (I didn’t win one but one of my team members did, Yay Carolyn!!) and gave everyone who attended a container of Champagne glitter glass. Gorgeous stuff!!!

Some of the girls in my team, Carolyn G and Mary R.

Here are my guests, Me, Jan S, Lynn W and Sandra (aka Super Mum!!)

One of the best parts of any Stampin’ Up! event, is the swapping!!!  Generally, you make a card front, include a project recipe and make lots of them.  I don’t enjoy making 50 of the same thing, so I usually do a couple of different cards.  This year, I did two card fronts and a bookmark.

I cased this one from another SU demonstrator, Elizabeth Dyson.

Stamp Set:  Elizabeth, It’s Your Day

Ink:  Early Espresso, Rose Red

Paper:  Early Espresso, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Whisper White

Accessories:  Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Whisper White organza ribbon, pastels, blender pens.

This one was cased from Heather Klump.  I really love this paper and the colours!!

Stamp set:  Four Frames, On Your Birthday

Ink:  Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder

Paper:  Berry Blossoms DSP, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral

Accessories:  Corner Rounder punch, Decorative label punch, oval punch, scallop oval punch, doily triple layer punch, finial press embossing folder

Now when I saw this on Splitcoaststampers, I just knew that I had to make it as a swap.  It’s by Snowteach.  I have to admit that I am addicted to Angry Birds!!!  These were very popular!!

Paper:  Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, More Mustard

Accessories:  Two Tags Die, Scallop circle punch, owl punch, bird punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, slot punch

16 September 2010

I can’t believe how quickly three weeks of holidays can go past!!  Then again, it feels like ages ago that I went to work!!  I guess all good things must come to an end, so back to work for me on Monday.

I’ve been clearing out my craft room to have a garage sale with my mum soon and, gee I have a lot of stuff!!!  I’m trying to only buy Stampin’ Up! products as it makes it so much easier to make decisions about what to make cos it all matches.

In between cleaning out, I’ve been making a number of different swaps.  My team, Eureka Stampers, is having a new catalogue swap for September, so I thought I would combine a challenge from Mojo Monday  (It’s a blog that has a weekly challenge on, you guessed it, Mondays!!).

Here is my entry for Mojo Monday 156.  I really enjoy the effect of colouring onto the stamp and I especially love having markers in the In-Colors!!

Stamp Sets:  Razzle Dazzle, Tiny Tags

Ink:  Baja Breeze Marker & Ink, Daffodil Delight Marker,  Pear Pizzazz Marker, Peach Parfait Marker

Paper:  Greenhouse Gala DSP, Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Accessories:  Scallop Trim Border, 1” circle punch, ¾” circle punch, Paper Piercer

15 July 2010

I just wanted to share with you a surprise that I received in the mail today from my great upline, Tracy Penn.  Our team had a team day a week or so ago, which I was unable to attend (the team being in Melbourne, and me in Queensland) but Tracy kindly collected the make and takes and notes which they received on the day.  She also put in a swap card and another little card that she had made to congratulate me on becoming a Senior Associate.

Here’s a peak at what she made.

Isn’t she a talented girl!!!!  Thanks, Tracy!!!  Now to do the make n’ takes!!  But I can’t show you yet as they are from the new stamp sets I received at convention.  You’ll just have to wait until September!!

I wanted to share with you a card that I have made using a card that I had received as a swap from one of my room mates at Convention – Maree Kirby.

Maree had made a Magic Marquee Card which gives you a little surprise when you open it up!!

Here is my take on a Magic Marquee Card.
