12 April 2013 – Pretty flowers for all!!

I realised recently that I didn’t have any good flower stamps in my collection. I had been seeing a few cards using Stippled Blossoms which were very pretty and decided that this is the one for me!!

I was inspired by fellow Aussie demonstrator, Leonie Schroder’s card here. Isn’t this a gorgeous card!! I needed to make a card for a work colleague who is leaving today, so I turned it on it’s side and used the Go Forth stamp from the Word Play stamp set. This was a really easy card to make with only a little bit of fussy cutting around the flowers.

I shared this card on a demonstrator only facebook group that I am on, and I inspired Juliette Hendry (here) to make it as well!!

17 March 2013 – It’s a Pool Party!!

I have recently rediscovered the colour, Pool Party. It goes so nicely with More Amore Specialty DSP in the current seasonal catalogue.

I wanted to use my new Hearts a Flutter framelits as who doesn’t love a good banner!! I was inspired by Andi Potler on Splitcoast Stampers, here.

I made a few changes and I used the new ovals framelits and the gorgeous Two-tone ribbon. Seeing as it was coming up to Valentine’s Day when I made this card, I used a stamp from Word Play stamp set. And of course, who can resist the opportunity to use the honeycomb embossing folder! Not me!!

love club

We did this card at stamp club and I had a few kits left over, so I made them up again but I used the O’Hello stamp set from the seasonal catalogue so I could use it for a birthday card as well!! I hope you like it.

28 April 2012 – April Stamp Club

Last weekend we had stamp club, so I thought I would share our cards with you.  I focused on some of the new stamp sets and fabulous new tools available in the latest Autumn Winter mini catalogue.

This first one focuses on the Adorning Accents edgelits and the matching embossing folder, including the co-ordinating stamp set, Bordering on Romance.  Once you get the hang of the edgelits, they are very easy to use and look absolutely fabulous!! I did case this one but I can’t find where.

Stamps:  Bordering on Romance, Party Time

Ink:  Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Staz on Black, Pear Pizzazz

Paper:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Accessories:  Adorning Accents Edgelits, Big Shot, Adorning Accents Embossing folder, Basic Pearls, blender pens, organza white ribbon

The next card is cased from here.  I used it as my inspiration but I used different colours and different stamps.  I made the rosette using the new Simply Scored which is great.  It makes making rosette’s so easy!!

 Stamp Sets:  Word Play

Ink:  Versamark

Paper:  Beau Chateau DSP, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist

Accessories:  Lace Ribbon Border punch, 1 3/4″ scallop circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Scallop Circle #2 die, Very Vanilla Seam binding ribbon, subtles buttons.

I had some issues with the single photo that I took, so the next card is in a group of three.  I couldn’t decide on which colour combination to go with, so I had a couple of attempts.  I went with the card in the middle, using the gorgeous new Twitterpated DSP.  Love it!!  I also used the new Tea Shoppe stamp set which is so cute!  I did case this card but again, can’t find the link!!

Stamp Set:  Tea Shoppe

Ink:  Riding Hood Red,  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze

Paper:  Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Twitterpated DSP

Accessories:  Pear Pizzazz pleated satin ribbon, Adorning Accents edgelits, 1 1/4″ square punch.

3 October 2011 – Simply Stockings!!

Can you believe that it’s almost time to start planning for Christmas!!  I was asked at work recently to think about what leave I wanted to take over Christmas.  It’s too early to think about yet!!!!!

Stampin’ Up! have a great promotion for the month of October.  You can purchase the stamp set – Stitched Stockings and the matching punch – early before the next mini catalogue is released or you can earn it for free when you host a workshop and have over $450 in sales.  How exciting is that!!!

Seeing as I am in denial about Christmas coming so quickly, here’s a card that I made that I cased from here for a stamping friend who had a baby recently.

Stamp Set:  Stitched Stockings, Word Play

Ink:  Bashful Blue

Paper:  Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Watercolour paper, Crumb Cake (Mum hates this colour!!)

21 March 2011

I’ve been trying to post more regularly but sometimes life just gets in the way!!!  Never mind, here’s a card that I have made as part of a swap with my team, Eureka Stampers.  One of the great benefits about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is being a part of a team and learning and sharing with fellow demonstrators.  One of the ways we do this, is by swapping cards.  You make, say 6 card fronts, and then post them to 5 demonstrators, keeping one for yourself.  Then you end up with 6 gorgeous card fronts to get inspiration from!!!

If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator, and enjoying the wonderful benefits, please contact me.  If you join prior to the end of March (and Sale-a-bration), you will be able to choose another stamp set from the main catalogue as part of your starter kit for free!!  How great is that!!!

This month’s theme for our swap is Male cards which I always find a bit of a challenge.  I’m currently getting “happy” mail every day and it’s great to see different ideas!!.  Here’s my card.  I used a sketch from Utah Divas International for inspiration.

Stamp Sets:  Word Play, Hodgepodge Hardware

Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand

Paper:  Blueberry Crisp DSP, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand

Accessories:  1 3/4″ circle punch, Bitty Buttons

Here’s all my swaps!!!  I don’t enjoy making lots of the same card but I can do 10!!

8th March 2011

I’m at Stanthorpe today baby sitting my nieces for a few days, so I’ve pre-scheduled this post.

I’ve cased this one from fellow SU! demonstrator, Annette Sullivan.

I love the Manhattan Flowers embossing folder but I don’t use it often enough.  When I saw this card of Annette’s, I loved it!!

Paper:  Elegant Soiree DSP, Marina Mist, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake

Ink:  Crumb Cake

There is a very talented SU! Demonstrator who does amazing things with punches!!  She has done a rose using the Owl punch.  Check out her video here to see how to make it.  I did end up with glue all over my fingers but the results are beautiful!!  I did spritz my rose with champagne mist shimmer paint but you can’t really tell in the photo.

Stamp Sets:  Word Play

Paper:  Whisper White, Pear Piazzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Greenhouse Gala DSP, So Saffron, Old Olive

Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Old Olive

Accessories:  Big Shot, Top note die, owl punch, scalloped edged punch, 5-Petal flower punch, Champagne Mist shimmer paint.

17 February 2011

I meant to post earlier today but my niece, Leah, had to have emergency surgery today to have her appendix out so I went to visit her in Toowoomba.  She’s doing much better now but the doctor said it was pretty bad.  I made her a cute card this morning, inspired by Kerry Bunting.  Looking at Kerry’s blog, I think she likes the owl punch!!!  It is pretty cute!!!

Stamp set:  Word Play (one of my favourites!!)

Paper:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Brights DSP pattern stack

Ink:  Melon Mambo
