Welcome to the ESAD 2019 Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop!! I’m excited to be sharing my project with you tonight.
Firstly, what is ESAD?
You may have come from Denise’s gorgeous project or starting here with me.
There are so many lovely Christmas goodies in this catalogue!! I feel like I only just packed up my decorations from last year but I’m ready to start prepping for this year!! I love Christmas!!
I love the Cuckoo for You stamp set and matching Cuckoo Clock dies in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue and I was excited to see the Yummy Christmas stamp set in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.
I coloured it in using a variety of blends. See the listing below for all the colours I used. One of the most exciting products in the new catalogue is the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. You shake it up, then carefully squeeze the bottle and run it over the parts you need snow on. Keep the card flat so it doesn’t run, and then heat it using your heat gun and watch the magic happen!!
I used the Tin Tile 3d embossing folder on the background and used the Merry Christmas to All stamp set for the sentiment and the Merry Christmas thinlit for the sentiment. I forgot to mention that my favourite Christmas colour combo is Green and Red and I love the combo of Real Red and Call me Clover.
I showed this card to my craft ladies yesterday and I have orders already for 4 bottle of puff paint!! I think it’s going to be popular!!
Welcome to another week of Caseing the Catty. I seem to have a million things to get done before Christmas and not enough time to do it!! Work just gets in the way, how rude!!
I’ve been preparing for my Christmas Class next weekend but I managed to squeeze in a card for CTC. Our challenge this week is to Case Anything but a Card from either catalogue. I decided to case the candle cover on page 28 of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue which is part of the Joyous Noel suite.
I love the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP, although when I went to select my cardstock, I haven’t used much of it!! I decided to use one of the dsp as the background and the Tranquil Tide and Copper paper for the wreath. I drew a circle lightly on the dsp (I used one of my pots of embossing paste) to give me a guide for attaching the sprigs. Otherwise you know it’s going to be a weird shaped circle!!
I punched out lots of sprigs using the Sprig punch and started attaching them using glue dots. I would recommend attaching in an anti-clock wise direction otherwise the sprigs don’t spring! I cut out the Merry from the Merry Christmas Thinlits in Cherry Cobbler and painted it with Wink of Stella. (I was going to use the Copper shimmer paint but apparently I forgot to buy it on my last order!)
I also stamped the sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All set and cut it out using a banner from the retired Large Numbers framelits. The gorgeous bow is made using the Merry Merlot and Copper reversible ribbon.
When it came to assembly of the wreath, you need a lot more sprigs that you think you will!!
I’m really happy with how this card turned out. Let’s see what Peta has created for us and if Marvi has been a good boy this week!!

Welcome to Spring!! Can you believe we are in September already!! What is more exciting is that the 2018 Holiday 2018 starts this week!!
We are getting in a little early this week as the 2018 Holiday Catalogue starts on 5 September. We are casing the All is Bright Section, pages 4-11.
I just love all the gorgeous projects in these pages! I decided to case a couple of the cards from page 4. The All is Bright DSP is just lovely. One side of the paper has a photographic image and the other side is a pattern. I’ve used the gold bauble DSP. I don’t have the poinsettia stamp so I used the Stitched Labels Framelits in Real Red. I cut out 6 green branches from the Christmas Staircase thinlits. I cut out the two Merry’s from the new Merry Christmas thinlits. I have some left over gold foil from a previous kit so the Merry is a little shiner than usual.
I couldn’t decide which card to do so I did a second card! I combined some elements from one of the other cards on the page. Instead of embossing the background with Shaded Spruce cardstock, I used a piece of gold foil. Don’t you love the Swirls and Curls embossing folder!
You can create your own doily using the Detailed Bauble thinlits. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and cut out the holly in Shaded Spruce and added some pearls coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I added some Real Red solid ribbon behind the doily and attached to the card.
Oh I love Christmas!! I can’t wait to play more with all my goodies from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue!!
Next up is the awesome Judy!
